Is How ORANGE Trump’s Face Is Stress Related?

No, this is not snark. Ok, so I might make fun of Trump for PAINTING HIS FACE ORANGE but this is an actual look at why he might be doing so.  He doesn’t wear makeup on the golf course and you’ve seen the pictures of how pale his skin is, as well as some ‘flourishes’ in his complexion. And he sweats, it seems a lot which is why I guess he doesn’t wear his ORANGE makeup on the course. However the rest of the time he colors his face in a ridiculous hue, which if you’ve noticed seems to change. That is what we’re going to explore here.

It seems over in the United Kingdom Trump’s orange hue has become a topic. More importantly it seems more intense to some. I’ll admit that over time it seems Trump’s face is a brighter orange than normal. I’ve just chalked it up to lighting issues, or being rushed for time when Trumpty’s team of stylists “pretty” him up for the day.  No big deal. Or is it? That what this article by Isobel Frodsham from Metro is worth a read.  She actually delves into this and in a serious, analytical way.  She doesn’t waste time in her article getting to the issue. After opening by noting Trump couldn’t shut up about it being his second state visit folks over there weren’t paying attention to THAT but to something else:

But one question that remains on everyone’s lips is: Why is he still so orange?

Trump, famed for his Fanta-coloured face, has repeatedly denied claims he uses any kind of fake tan or bronzing products, with an official insisting his vibrant complexion is solely down to ‘good genes’.

Over on social media, people have been posting clips of Trump in Windsor comparing him to orange fruit, while a protester at the protests against his visit in London yesterday featured a flag which said: ‘Orange lies matter.’

I got a kick out of Trump’s ‘good genes’ crack. Unlike his dad and other male family members he’s a fat-ass old man like me. And in poor health both physically and mentally. Given that and his insistence for  years to paint himself various shades of ORANGE I supposed it’s long past time someone take a look at “why?” As I said, the quip she included about “Orange Lies Matter’ notwithstanding she spends some time breaking down what’s she’s thought about it over the years.

It’s a discussion that goes all the way back to Trump wanting to look good on TV. Well, he’s always been vain as hell. Also, as someone who’s been in performing arts I can tell you the lighting in theaters or televisions sets is an issue that has to be dealt with. In my case extra makeup, even old-school greasepaint when I was in a key or leading role was necessary because my skin “washed out” under the lights. Still, while Trump loves to pose for photos he could simply have makeup people add some extra coloring when about to face the harsh TV lights or constant flashes from a bunch of photojournalists in some Oval Office sitdown.

What I want to highlight here is that it occurred to it’s author that something ELSE might  have been (and still is) going on. Noting how the brightness of the orange has kept changing she started comparing photos of time when all was relatively well with Trumpty vs. when he’s been under major pressure and stress. The linked article also has a fair number of photos. But she has advance what to me is a fascinating possibility – that when stressed Trumpty requires a heavier/brighter shade of ORANGE to cover up what’s probably a complexion as ghastly as we’ve seen sometimes when he come off the golf course:

‘But lately, I feel like something more psychological is happening,’ she continued. ‘When Trump took office in 2017, he was significantly less orange… but as his term wore on, more bronzer was applied.

‘The more stressed… the more makeup. And then when out of office, the makeup would only reappear for the cameras. But it was mostly toned down.

‘Then something interesting happened. After Trump’s debate with Biden in June 2024, the makeup all but disappeared. When Trump was up in the polls, and a victory was all but certain, the bronzer was gone.’

I don’t know about you but I think this article is something other outlets should explore. (With plenty of pictures) Even for a normal person in a typical Presidency the job is stressful as hell. You don’t hear about it anymore but once upon a time it was common for experts to remark that a term in office took years off a President’ life. Trump? He’s under so much stress, mostly self-inflicted every day at the end of the day he hasn’t had a fatal heart attack or stroke is a bonus for him!  What matters though is that it’s possible his face breaks out in pink and red colors and the only thing that can cover it up is that ORANGE color.  Trump knows, he KNOWS people make fun of it but he doesn’t change what he does.

That suggests something, at least to me. Well, it’s just a thought. The linked article concludes with a brief discussion of Trumpty using makeup on his hand too. You know why. I can see why he doesn’t use that covering on his face. Having that much caked on it would freaking crack!  Anyway I’m thinking we need to pay closer attention to how bright Trump’s ORANGE FACE is. Because I think yes, the brighter the orange the more Trump is freaking the hell out and the harder the effects on his skin tone are to hide!
