Oh, Jasmine. She doesn’t hold back on anything. She says the quiet parts out loud, the parts we need to hear. Remember, she’s in Congress, so she’s certainly informed. I’m just sorry she’s from Texas. I’ll bet *that* was a surprise to Governor Abbott (and more) for her to be chosen. From Raw Story:
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got the crowd going at a progressive event over the weekend when she launched into President Donald Trump with a profanity-laced attack, according to The Daily Beast. Speaking at a MoveOn event in Arizona, the Texas congresswoman didn’t mince words when it came to her feelings about Trump, who has called her a “low-IQ person.” “Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of s—, OK?” Crockett exclaimed as the crowd erupted. “We know that. Yes, yes! He is, he is! But in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this.”
Alrighty then! You know she’s right. Trump is worthless. I wonder if his staff will let him see this. He’d have a conniption fit that would be glorious to watch. I’ll bring popcorn for that one. It’s so much fun to see her wipe the floor with Trump and the Republicans. Every time news comes out about her, I eagerly look forward to seeing who she has obliterated. (Hello, MTG? Crockett then called out Senate Republicans and even the U.S. Supreme Court for allowing Trump to operate with impunity. “He’s been able to get away with this because the House Republicans are complicit,” she said. “He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit. But most importantly, the courts—especially the Supreme Court—are complicit! “They are the highest court in the land, and they have no ethics guardrails. Now you go down to the lower courts, and they do. How much sense does that make?”
None. It’s pointless to go to the Supreme Court if you’re not Donald Trump. You’ll lose, every. single. time. Why waste the effort? Or, as she said, they’ll send it back to lower courts. Why waste the work? Since the flash of sanity showed by Amy Coney Barrett has faded and gone, we’re working at an extreme disadvantage. All “our” people can do is write dissents (and boy, do they). Could you imagine Jasmine on the Supreme Court?
Crockett also spoke about the standoff over redistricting in her own state, orchestrated by Trump, calling it “racist and anti-democratic,” and “arguing that it dilutes minority voting power and rigs the system in Republicans’ favor ahead of 2026,” according to the report.
Yea. We knew about that. And the governor is trying to extradite Texas government Democrats back to Texas. He can’t do that. It’s illegal. You see, it can’t be done on a civil matter. But who will go against him and the Texas government Republicans to fight this? Let’s get Jasmine on them. I expect she would get a *lot* of support from “her people”. That would be something to see.
