You may have read my earlier post today about a bill before Congress to rename the Kennedy Center Opera House the “First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.” I am appalled. It was bad enough that both Donald and Melania ripped up Jackie Kennedy’s rose garden, which was iconically beautiful for many decades. But that’s who the Trumps are. They’ll take paradise and put up a parking lot. Jack Schlossberg, Jack and Jackie’s only grandson, has put in his two cents and oh my God is it blistering. Both Trump and Melania will blow a gasket when they read this. I can’t wait for the blow back on this.
Wait, doesn't she speak six languages? 😅

Here’s the full text. BREAKING: JFK’s only grandson Jack Schlossberg incinerates Republicans for trying to rename the prestigious Kennedy Center’s Opera House after First Lady Melania Trump, says that Trump is “obsessed with being bigger than JFK.” He refuses to stand by as MAGA tarnishes his family’s legacy… “A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces — but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers,” Schlossberg wrote on Instagram, quoting his late grandfather.
“JFK believed the arts made our country great and could be our most effective weapon in the fight for civil rights and against authoritarian governments around the world,” he continued. “He took political heat for it at the time — for inviting black artists to the White House, like the Staples Singers. For supporting black Americans like Harry Belafonte and James Baldwin on global tours to showcase the best of our society,” he went on.
“Pablo Cassals, a symbol of resistance to fascism, played for President Kennedy. Yo-yo Ma did too… when he was just 6 years old. Robert Frost performed at JFK’s inaugural. The Mona Lisa came and visited the WH,” wrote Schlossberg. “The Trump Administration stands for freedom of oppression, not expression. He uses his awesome powers to suppress free expression and instill fear. But this isn’t about the arts.”
“Trump is obsessed with being bigger than JFK, with minimizing the many heroes of our past, as if that elevates him. It doesn’t,” he added.” “But there’s hope — art lasts forever, and no one can change what JFK and our shared history stands for,” he concluded.
Yesterday, Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee shamelessly approved an amendment to the interior, environment, and related agencies annual spending bill that would mutilate the reputation of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ opera house by changing its name to the “First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.”
The effort is a blatant attempt on the part of Republican politicians to pander to the MAGA cult leader. It’s especially pathetic given the fact that Melania has not a single real accomplishment to her name. History will remember her as the cowardly woman who enabled her husband’s fascism by remaining silent as his anti-democratic abuses escalated. Please retweet and like if you oppose the renaming! [emphasis mine]
Melania had a species of modeling career. She was not a high fashion runway model, the kind of model that adorns the cover of Vogue and other magazines. She posed for low rent level men’s magazines where she was a pin up girl kind of a model. She posed for porn shots.
Melania’s strike against her as a high fashion model is that she’s not tall. Yes, she wears 5″ stilettos, she lives in them. Which makes her about 5’6″ maximum and she goes up to 5’11” which is what she lies that her height is. Her height is not that. Both she and Trump lie about their height. He’s about 5’10” max and he wears shoe lifts which give him an extra two, three inches. That’s it. He’s not 6’3″. Barron is probably not 6’8″, that’s probably a lie they tell to bear out Melania and Donald’s lies.
Another strike against Melania as a high fashion model is she can’t move. That’s not my opinion, that’s the opinion of photographers who worked with her back in the day. So she’s not runway, high fashion material. But she did fine as a pin up girl, porn model.
All that lasted until she was 26 and allegedly in the country illegally, having overstayed a tourist visa. That kind of thing nowadays can get you thrown in prison, but America was a saner country back then. In all events, Melania met Donald. Her biggest life achievement is marrying a very wealthy asshole.
The woman has no education, no career, unless you want to call her modeling thirty years ago and her “jewelry design” nowadays a career. And she does not speak six languages. That’s pure Trumpian MAGA hogwash.
But the Trumps don’t deal in truth. They deal in lies, they deal in artifice. Good for Jack Schlossberg for letting them have it with both barrels. Donald and Melania need to hear the truth although it won’t sink in. But some of it might.
Initially Melania was said to intend to attempt to be the “next Jackie Kennedy.” Melania can’t hold a match let alone a candle to Jackie Kennedy. Jackie was fluent in French, Italian and Spanish. She graduated from the Sorbonne. She was a book editor, a professional journalist and photographer and an accomplioshed equestrian in addition to being a gracious First Lady.
Melania Trump is an ornament. End of story. Full stop. She does not deserve to have the opera house of our foremost arts center named after her. In all fairness, it was not her idea — from what we know. If she has any class, she’ll ask that her name be withdrawn from nomination. I’m not holding my breath.

If she’s an ornament, she’s rapidly turning into a carbuncle. An unattractive, ugly ornament of no use.
On the physical level, Melania’s goal is to remain perfect. And she’s had every treatment that can keep that going. I read somewhere that one of her friends, it may have been Stephanie Wolkoff, said that Melania’s raison d’etre was to “preserve her beauty.” And I’ll give her that, she’s done that. There are videos on YouTube where plastic surgeons speculate on her doing this that and the other.
And she’s welcome to that. Her looks are her high card, keep that card in play. But what galls me is this “six languages” whereas if that was true, you KNOW that she would be talking to heads of state in German, French, whatever she supposedly speaks. And she’s a “businesswoman” with that tacky crap jewelry, I guess. It’s the phoniness and pretense that kills me. If she wants to remain a looker, go for it honey. But the reality of that is that even the goddesses of the screen fade at some point.
At some point in our lives, if we live long enough, our looks are no longer what asset they might have been. What we have inside is who we are and what we still have to give to the world. And THAT keeps growing, not diminishing.
I’m wondering just what Melania’s own personal history with Epstein was, pre Donald…
You are not alone in that.

Ric Grennel is behind this. He loves him some Melania. He gave Melania $250K twice for reading a ten-minute statement that somebody else wrote at his Log Cabin Republicans soirees. Grenell apparently believes that if he butters up Melania enough that he’ll get appointed to some high post. I think Trump threw him a bone putting him in the arts because he’s openly gay — although he knows nothing of the arts. Anyhow, this is Ron Filipkowski’s theory which i repeat and it makes perfect sense to me.
