There is a category in Hollywood known as model, actress, whatever. This is a description of women who propose to make it big on their looks, because they don’t have any actual talent, so it’s the looks or nothing. Melania would fit right in with that group. Today at the 4th of July celebration at the White House, she dutifully went through the motions of moving like an automatron at Disneyworld, when not fidgeting with her hair. How to tell the world you’re bored without telling them you’re bored. And Hubby stood there waiting for his massive salute from the sky — until Fox News finally cut away in embarrassment. Let’s give it up to Fox News, folks, at least they know when something is embarrassing. The First Couple of nitwits do not. It’s a concept beyond them.

Don’t you love it when Melania cranes her head wayyyyy back as if the planes will only be visible at 12:00 high and then only for a nanosecond? Don’t blink now or you’ll miss the flyover. She would have been great in improvisational theater. Although, hey, she’s made a hell of a lot more money in her starring role as WINO to Trump, than most actresses will make their entire life. So we will give her credit for the paycheck part of this act. The flyover came during the national anthem, we are told. Good. And here’s another great moment where Trump mangles history, yet once more.

That was back in the 1980’s, if that’s what he was thinking of, and no I don’t know why Trump is obsessed with the 80’s. But it has come up again and again and again. The music of the era, the Broadway shows of the era, and now the military maneuvers of the era. Some psychologist could make a real name for him or herself if they could define for the rest of us what Trump’s obsession with the 80’s is about.
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about either. Trump’s expressions are either blithering confusion or outright lies. Here is one of the latter. My God, this is a whopper.
