I know that we believe that we’ve seen it all, those of us who have been following politics ardently before 2015 and have seen the horrific changes in this country since then. But believe me, what you are about to set eyes upon is going to blow even your jaded sensibilities. Is there some gang of lunatics holed up somewhere smoking crack and putting together publicity stunts for the GOP? First we had Nancy Mace in her pink PJs today, walking around in public and ordering at a Waffle House (believe me, you missed nothing if you didn’t see this and you didn’t waste two and a half minutes of your life. I did it for you. You’re welcome) and then we have this. Maybe they were conceived by the same birdbrain.
This is a real tweet from the official White House account promoting Trump’s massive spending bill. pic.twitter.com/T0z29GxJhm

Please tell me that you saw it, too. Or have I finally burnt all my synapses and my brain is officially fried? It’s the official White House account, so it could be Steven Cheung, I would imagine. He’s the communications director. Or perhaps it’s Kakistocracy Karoline, burning the midnight oil. Or, maybe some lower echelon person in Stephen Miller’s office finally decided, “Screw it! I’m going to blow this place up and show everybody what a madhouse this is!”

I agree with two thoughts: 1. The government needs an intervention. Who is going to do it? and 2. We are headed for way worse than Idiocracy. If you haven’t screened Idiocracy in a while, you need to revisit it now. And then you tell me what the difference in tone or content is from that satirical movie and this travesty that just came out of the White House.
Whoever did this believes that all Americans are morons. And I can’t gainsay that. Donald Trump got voted into office twice. That says it all. If we are considered morons throughout the rest of history, we have earned the title.
I am assuming that this is MAGA’s way of getting people to call their Representatives. Those of us on the Democratic side of things have been burning up the phones and the email accounts, so maybe this is the White House’s way of getting MAGA pumped up.
Now if that’s the case, then it means Trump is desperate. Let’s put it this way, no matter what the reason this came from the White House, desperation is evident. This is a monumentally stupid ploy. Just look at the psychology of it: is the idea to get to the working woman and convince her that she’ll make an epic achievement for herself if she just has her Rep vote for the Big Beautiful Bill?
Because no woman in this day and age wants those dipshit hairstyles. That was cool when I was in grade school in the 60’s, but after a very few years the bubble look went out and then long, flat hair came in (some stars even ironed their hair, you remember that?)
Whatever the target audience for this, I think it’s the same target audience for Nancy Mace’s pajama travesty, which fell flat earlier today. This is going to fall even flatter. But Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert ought to get some mileage out of this. John Oliver for sure.

Same old DON THE CON…. ALL BULLSHIT ALL THE TIME.
DONCON Crippled America
It’s getting worse, though. Those stupid perfume ads and now this, all in the same week. And it’s only Wednesday night.
This makes Rudy Giuliani’s Four Seasons Total Landscaping press conference look like the Coronation of King Charles III. — Frankly, I can’t believe it’s real. Even for these guys. I think some geniuses (and I really mean that this time) must have hacked it into the White House website.
If this admin could produce a real version of the running man and squid games they would. Still 3+more years to go so it’s still possible.
anyone else getting Stepford Wives vibes? that’s well creepy
Everyone else looks like a moron to a moron. When you elect an evil clown…
I can see John Oliver showing that and finishing up with his deadpan “cool”.
I would really like to know why income from overtime should be tax-fee. Seems to me that that’s just another ploy to make the already comfortable even richer, at the detriment to the tax base and therefore to detriment of the poor, who may be working two or three fully taxed jobs just to make ends meet.
