Well, Congressman Raskin, who is my very favorite congress member now that Adam Schiff has gone to the Senate, (Jamine Crockett running a close second) struck a chord tonight. Whoa, Nellie. The House members are going back and forth over the BBB. Donald Trump was earlier saying that he felt that the bill would pass tonight. Most of the smart money is saying no, it won’t pass until after the July 4th holiday. And Raskin set off Trump into a jammed thumb, red faced fury.

What did the good congressman do? For openers, he called the bill a “chainsaw massacre approach to health care” which is a good description of something that will leave 16 million people without medical care and close rural hospitals. And no I don’t know what the folks out in rural areas are supposed to do when the hospitals close. Die for lack of care, I guess. Nobody seems to be too concerned about that.

Then there was that note in RadarOnline, who reported that Raskin thinks Trump is running things like a “mafia operation”. That must be what got under Donald’s thin orange skin. Then Google AI tells us, “There was also a Yahoo News article reporting that Chris Matthews, a political commentator, believes Democrats have a good chance of picking up ’15 to 20′ seats in the upcoming election, potentially influencing the political landscape and Raskin’s future actions.” But I think this may have been the real clincher which set Trump off.

“‘We the billionaires and our king, in order to deform and sicken our union, establish injustice, ensure domestic servility, weaken our people’s defenses, undermine the general welfare, and reserve to ourselves and our posterity staggering debt servitude for eternity, do hereby instruct the Republicans in Congress to strip 17 million people of their health care, increase co-pays deductibles and premiums for everyone else, cut 42 million people off nutritional assistance, increase the national debt by $4 trillion, trash renewable energy systems, increase our electric bills for the carbon kings, all to weaken and destroy the Constiution of the people of these United States of America,” he said, to applause.

Please include this preamble in the legislative record,” Raskin concluded.

Bullseye, Congressman Raskin. If you didn’t hit the bullseye, Don Don the Clown would not be incensed and lashing out on social media.

  1. So when he calls Raskin a dope, total loser and has an ugly face, he’s projecting like an IMax theater. Needless to say, his reply is not even close to the eloquent statement from Raskin.

    • That was exactly what I thought. Raskin knows far more about what’s in that bill than Trump. What a shame we have to live through this time in history. Each day I wonder if the tipping point has been reached and if Trump has finally goaded Iran into launching nukes over here.

      • One tipping point was definitely reached the day we (and the rest of the world) saw Trump in a pope costume. I know you’re talking about a different tipping point. Meanwhile I’m looking forward to America’s tipping point, when the people of this country, or most of them anyway, have finally had enough of this clown show. All these tipping points are related in wondrous ways.

  2. Tipping point? Maybe. BUT T, his enablers, the Supremes, MAGA and what remains of the GOP at all levels have their collective thumbs on the scales until Nov 2026 and Jan 2028. How to stymie the mischief that can be done before then? There’s already talk of reshaping electoral rules….

  3. The money flows to the crooks NOW! but the harmful parts only kick in later so it doesn’t look like they did it.

Gee, haven’t we seen this all before?

  4. Jamie has been one of my favorites for a long time, and i also love Jasmine Crockett (since I’m sane.) But my most favorite was Katie Porter, And, sadly, Adam Schiff (and/or his team) had a hand in that, even if only indirectly, through corporate contributions and advertising. I have not yet forgivien him for that. I’m not ruling out forgiving hom for that, but I have not yet seen a reason to.
