We know that Trump is an egomaniac. That’s no secret. But nobody can figure out why he keeps pushing this one rock uphill, over and over again, because it always falls back to the ground because of its invalidity. Yes, I speak of the 2020 election and now he’s screaming for the appointment of a special prosecutor. Will that happen? Will Pam Bondi cave in or will she find a way to shine him on? Trump is seriously as crazy as Mike Lindell right now, and that’s saying a mouthful.

The focus isn’t even on Trump now, because he ALWAYS comes back to this, like the boy who cries wolf. The focus really is on Pam Bondi or anybody else in government who might try to advocate for this. Is James Comer insane enough to get behind this? Is the GOP? Or will this latest cri du coeur of Trump’s be ignored like all the rest?
If Bondi or Comer or anybody is crazy enough to proceed, they will run up against the same mountain of evidence disproving that there was any election interference — unless Trump has some kind of a plan up his sleeve. Junior was on a podcast the other day and he claimed that “anybody with an IQ over three knows that the 2020 election was stolen.” So maybe the Trump clan has something that they’re planning. I don’t know but it seems interesting that both father and son come up with the same insane proclamation within days of each other. Or, they may simply have nothing else to say and crying about 2020 always gins up the rubes.
It remains to be seen, as usual, whether this goes anywhere. Meanwhile, there’s impending war with Iran. And don’t think that Iran isn’t going to retaliate in some fashion for Trump’s proxy war with Iran via Israel. And all bets are off if the U.S. actually goes to war with Iran.
To have this sublime child in charge at a time like this is inconceivable. Yet here we are. America was really this stupid as to put this *man* back in charge, after seeing what he bolluxed the first time. Trump racked up a death toll of 1.1 million Americans on his first watch, due to botching the COVID pandemic. What will he do this time? It’s frightening to contemplate, but contemplate it we all did during the campaign. We all cried from the rooftops, “Don’t do this, America,” and America did it anyway. The inescapable problem is that sects don’t go to war, political parties don’t go to war, only nations go to war. We will all, potentially, get dragged into this man’s insanity.
Your comment about the country being stupid enough to put Trump back in charge got to me. So many times since he because a political creature, a real life Jabberwock I’ve heard it said and written ‘we’re better than this.’ No, we are not. Almost half of us said NO to another round of Trump, but almost another half plus an extra 1.4% said yes.
Twenty million or so voting for him a second time (hell, the first for that matter) and I’d shake my head with disgust over so many Americans being so stupid, or hateful or combination of both. But to do so again? No, we are NOT ‘better than this.’
Good News is out there however. We keep over-performing in special elections, and last Saturday over five million people showed up at protests around the country to say Trump’s shit has got to stop. We will get another chance on July 17. GOP Congress Critters have been catching hell right to their smarmy faces, at least if they have the guts to show up at public events/town halls back home.
MAGA and GOP elected officials are engaged in some serious internecine warfare these days. So we have a real chance to cut away enough Trump and GOP support and build more of our own to again ‘be better than this.’ I have actual hope we are seeing the tide turn. Not that we were perfect or even close to being so before Trump, but we had more good going than bad and kept inching along towards becoming a “more perfect union.’ We can be that again.
Wait a minute. Wasn’t it Drumpf and MAGA who were claiming–just a couple of years ago–that there was no legal framework for the appointment of a special prosecutor? That the special prosecutor overseeing the Drumpf cases was “illegal” and had no authority? Granted, they didn’t seem to have problems with the appointment of special prosecutors overseeing Biden’s “classified documents case” or the Hunter Biden “investigation”–nor was there a problem when Drumpf pressed for cases designed to “clear” him and his campaign of any Russian connection in the 2016 election.
I guess a special prosecutor is fine when it’s something DrowsyDonnie wants investigated but a “bad thing” when the investigation involves DrowsyDonnie’s many misdeeds.

They are beginning to hear more widespread questioning of what they pulled off in 2024 in the swing states voting counting.
The more people begin to learn what THEY DID, the louder they have to shout about “see what they did to me in 2020?”
