Is This Real Or Fake?

It’s hard to tell nowadays with AI getting as good as it is, what’s real and what’s been cobbled together from digital whole cloth. I watched this four times to see if I could tell if it was photoshopped or real. First of all, Melania’s delivery is generally so flat and she’s so robotic to begin with, that it’s especially hard to tell if she’s being created by AI. Then there is the sheer stupidity and vapidity of what you’re about to hear. She talks like she’s a movie star or somebody who has created something wonderful and unique. Except movie stars know how to speak the language they perform in fluently. You listen and decide.

Unique is rare to find these days? Meaning that unique used to be common as dirt — and therefore not unique at all? You see why I’m wondering if this is a gag? And I love this, “I like to lead, not follow.” What the hell has she ever “led” in? Her modeling career was not up there with Christy Brinkley and others we could name. She never made a big splash in that area.

I’m thinking maybe she doesn’t know the definition of unique. Maybe she thinks it means “original.” Something can be original, such as a new song, without being “unique.” How can she say, “I like to be unique?” She likes to be the only one of her that there is? I suppose that that can be said for all of us. We’re all like snowflakes in that sense, even identical twins are unique in their own way.

And what can this woman claim to have achieved that is unique? She married a rich guy and she uses his money to pay for spa treatments, Botox, plastic surgery, what have you. There’s nothing unique about that, Palm Beach is jammed with rich women doing the exact same thing as Melania.

And she’s done nothing else. If she had been somebody’s beloved teacher and influenced them at a young age, or somebody’s lawyer and stood up for their rights, that would be laudable. There’s nothing like that in her background. She married a wealthy buffon (and I suppose an argument can be made that he’s “unique”) and through a bizarre set of twists and turns, she ended up First Lady. But none of this was her doing. Melania is the quintessential example of being at the right place at the right time.

And what’s sickening about that, is that she doesn’t do the job of FLOTUS and she doesn’t want it. She shows up a few days here and there and makes obligatory appearances and then she’s gone again for weeks on end.

There is nothing inspirational about this woman. You put a bag over her face and drape a circus tent over her and she has nothing to bring to the party. She’s ornamental. A lot of First Ladies have had a lot to say, a lot of insight into the world and they contributed to the social discourse. That’s as it should be. If this egotistical riff here is meant to impress anybody above a teeny bopper fanzine level, somebody explain it to me.

What say you? AI or she really is this stupid? And dull? And self-obsessed? And if the answers are yes, then it’s no wonder she’s married to who she is.
