Before the first shot was fired on Ft. Sumter in April of 1861, a great many ideas circulated about whether the Civil War was coming, and how it might start. Today we would call the majority of these ideas conspiracy theories, because they were mostly anecdotal and weren’t grounded so much in fact as they were in suspicion. But the suspicion was grounded, due to the clear and obvious polarizing sentiments in the land. Many people sensed a sea change in the body politic, that the unity of the country was splitting from within — just as Lev Parnas claims that Trump world is splitting from within.
I believe he’s right, especially after the schism that we saw just this past week with Elon Musk walking out the door. Trump will now try to recoup lost ground, that’s certain. And it’s a verity that if anybody is in a position to know the inner workings of Trump world, it’s one of the people who went to prison for the bum. Listen to what Parnas says, because he’s not the only one sensing it or saying it.
What happened yesterday in Los Angeles was a test run—a dry rehearsal for something much, much bigger.
I’ve been hearing from multiple trusted insiders that Trump’s inner circle—particularly Pete Hegseth and some of the more radicalized loyalists embedded at the Pentagon—are actively drafting operational plans for the mass mobilizations expected on June 14th.
This isn’t just about Trump’s birthday.
This isn’t just about another vanity parade.
This is about shutting down resistance.
Because here’s what Trump really fears:
Not the media. Not Congress. Not prosecutors.
He fears us.
He fears the American people rising up on June 14th, in all 50 states, with signs that say No Kings—with voices that remind the world that we are still a democracy. Millions are preparing to march. And Trump knows it.
That’s why he’s pushing for tanks. That’s why he wants the biggest military display America has seen since the Cold War. Because he wants the optics of power. He wants to smother the story before it even begins. He wants his parade to dominate the headlines, not the marchers in the streets fighting for democracy.
But I need you to understand this:
According to my sources, there are discussions happening right now—within Trump’s most trusted circle—about invoking martial law if the protests “get out of hand.” They’re looking for any excuse. Any video. Any act of violence. Any disruption. That’s all they need to justify a crackdown.
And it gets worse.
What I’m being told is that Trump allies—including elements connected to Proud Boys, III Percenters, and other far-right militia networks—are planning to infiltrate the June 14th protests. Not to support them. To sabotage them.
Their goal?
Create chaos. Spark confrontation. Trigger a response from law enforcement. And then hand Trump the justification he needs to clamp down.
This makes complete sense, particularly if you know Trump. And it’s not the only rumbling that we’re hearing on social media. Again, I give you this caveat: We don’t do conspiracy theory here, but we do report on anomalies and rumors and label them as such because some times you can sense the zeitgeist from such things. This thread is from a source which many have compared to “Krassenstein/Palmer-level crap” and I’m not disputing that. I share it because the timing is interesting, considering what we just read from Lev Parnas.

I’m the first to say that this sounds like bullshit and very probably is just that. FYI, this account MAGA Cult Slayer, purports to have been a part of the MAGA silo for eight years and that’s why they know what they know. Not endorsing the account, just sharing that it’s interesting that between Trump’s sending in the National Guard in California and tanks arriving for his birthday celebration on the 14th, people are getting jittery as hell about something big going down. And it is emphatically NOT overreaching or overstating to say that Trump would love nothing more than some excuse to invoke martial law. He made that clear during his first reign.
They want intimidation. They want fear. They want to provoke us into giving them a reason to declare emergency powers. They want us to fall into retreat.
Do not let that happen.
The stakes have never been higher.

Trump is testing the limits of his power—again—and too many still refuse to believe it.

I don’t think you can ever go wrong, in politics or in anything in life, by parsing through what the worst case scenarios are and being ready to deal with them, when and if they manifest. Never lose sight of the fact that Trump is a lunatic and he’s got nothing to lose.
Also never lose sight of the fact that this is all reality TV and games to him. He will push it to the limit, because he’s gotten this far by doing just that. And bear in mind, January 6 was not an isolated incident. It was a rehearsal for the real thing and we may be seeing that this coming June 14 — or at any point in the near future.

I can’t help but think back to Jan. 6. Those Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and I’m convinced some of Eric Prince’s squads were in the crowd inciting people to overwhelm the officers defending the Capitol. Trump got them to assemble there and all riled up. Still, it took getting people who were too drunk or orange Kool Aid pressing forward to get them to the building itself and start attacking the spots where the leaders of the riot knew entry could be gained. AND they were waiting on the final “Go” order. Many had weapons on them and Prince’s people had stashes at the ready and not all the way back across the river.
Luckily we had a classic Trumpian TACO moment. He chickened out fearing the reaction. With word many Congress Critters were in secure locations, especially the leaders and Pence too AND knowing General Milley might commit a Court Martial Offense and order National Guard troops nearby to intervene and with deadly force authorization Trumpty chickened out.
I don’t know we’d be as lucky this time. Trump is a master of projection and even if he were to go TACO think about his bloviating over Biden and the autopen. Miller and others might well use to sign “Go” orders if Trump won’t do it himself. Yes, one can credibly accuse me of going down the CT rabbit hole. It is pretty damned wild speculation on my part. However, as you say we should hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

It was all pretty exciting back in the 60’s when I was a kid, but now that I’m a 73 year old retired fart, it’s getting kinda scary. And yep, ol’ orangie is a lunatic and drunk on power.
