Here’s another example of Everything Trump Touches Dies. Back in the day, when Donald Trump was just a tabloid character, he used to make the rounds of the daytime talk shows. He was on Oprah’s show (and now she can’t stand him) and he was on Ellen DeGeneres’ show. DeGeneres moved to the UK when Trump was elected last November. She doesn’t even want to be on the same continent with him. This clip is about twenty years old and Melania still hasn’t learned how to speak English. Not that that matters. Her “job” is looking good and the two made an appearance so that the aging Trump could show the world what an old guy with money can buy. This is vulgarity and low life thinking on steroids. And that was Trump’s pre-politics niche, the comic vulgarity of the classless uber rich. It’s not so comical when that’s what’s running our government. (Fast forward to 4:53.)
This is an old guy (with a comb over that looked ridiculous even then) showing off the young babe he bought and all the trinkets that he can afford to adorn her with. As gauche as it is, it captures a certain mood in America, which is the worship of money. Let’s be clear that that’s who we are on a primal level, or this clown with inherited wealth would never be where he is now.
Melania makes no bones about the fact that she wouldn’t be Trump’s wife if she wasn’t a looker — and that’s gospel. Without her visual affect, Melania would be just some dummy speaking pidgin English. She might be Trump’s chamber maid. Melania told another talk show host who asked her if she would be with Trump if he didn’t have his money, “Would he be with me if I didn’t look this way?” The answer is that this is a transaction, his money for her ornamental value.
And I think it’s safe to say that most American men would be just fine purchasing an ornamental wife if they had the cash to do so. Now more evolved type people see this situation for what it is, a loveless marriage. And viable relationships are not easily come by, that’s true. I think most of us will agree that if you do find somebody you have some genuine compatibility with and love strikes, you’ve hit the jackpot. But the likes of Trump don’t even try.
And that’s the sad part. Yes, loveless marriages abound, people get together and/or stay together because of money. That’s a reality. But to aspire to nothing more than buying a “piece of ass” to use Trump’s terminology, or selling one’s ass to the highest bidder, is the tragedy here.
I love Melania’s quip, “I like things perfect.” Honey, your life is so far from perfect that it beggars description. But I’ll grant you, you can probably arrange “things” to be perfect, certainly not people and situations. And you do have money and don’t have to work for it like the rest of us, so I hope that that is a consolation for having to be the consort of this worldclass, diapered dork that you’re married to.
Anyhow, a walk down memory lane with the guy who sank us over seven trillion dollars into debt last time and who knows what damage he will wreak on us this go around, and his absentee First Lady. And I don’t blame Melania for not wanting to live in the White House with him. That part I totally get.

She and her hubby’s interior lives are as barren as the surface of the moon. No amount of money can change that. Any man that has made love to pretty girls, empty women, or just purely for the physical experience, knows that when you experience a real woman, with depth and life experience, and she allows intimacy/love to be as one…well…nothing else I can say about the comic book world they inhabit versus the rare, but real world of complicated, wounded people, as we all are, who have real love partners. Having money doesn’t mean you are blessed. Having love in your life means you are.
