Is anybody here an astrologer? The news has been so batshit today that I’m thinking that planets must be banging into each other or ready to leave orbit and depart the solar system. Here’s another wild story that makes no sense whatsoever and this is on a day when Ed Martin has been named Pardon Attorney, Jeanine Pirro is now an interim U.S. Attorney, and a non doctor is queued up to be the Surgeon General. First, the back story, which is Marco Rubio making light of the fact that he’s the Secretary Of Everything, as Jared Kushner used to be back in the day. You remember Kushner’s portfolio? Everything from infrastructure to world peace to the opioid crisis? And Kushner’s most compelling qualification for any of those posts was that he was married to Trump’s daughter and Trump called him, “My Star?” Those were some nauseating times.
So this is Rubio cracking wise? But then what is Trump doing by way of reply?

Trump gives no reason (that I can find, so far) for firing this woman. But Hakeem Jeffries has an opinion and he issued a statement.

Donald Trump’s unjust decision to fire Dr. Hayden in an email sent by a random political hack is a disgrace and the latest in his ongoing effort to ban books, whitewash American history and turn back the clock.
The Library of Congress is the People’s Library. There will be accountability for this unprecedented assault on the American way of life sooner rather than later.
Is there a causal connection between what might have been a lighthearted rib by Marco Rubio and the firing? Or Trump just decided to fire Dr. Hayden out of the blue? This is what CBS News said:
Hayden was fired in an email Thursday from Trent Morse, deputy director of presidential personnel.
“On behalf of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as the Librarian of Congress is terminated effective immediately,” read the email, which was obtained by CBS News. “Thank you for your service.”
No reason given to the person fired. No reason given to the press. And maybe Marco Rubio will end up named as the Acting Librarian of Congress. Who knows? All that we know for certain is that Trump is unstable and he’s only getting worse. Nobody is running the country. The country is in chaos right now and it can only go on so long that way before a tipping point is reached. Whether that tipping point has to do with health or foreign policy or the impending economic disaster we live on the brink of right now, it’s hard to guess. But tough times are ahead for the United States.
“All that we know for certain is that Trump is unstable” However, as is well catologued, he never knows about anything. He is the puppet with a whole cadre of enablers let loose by the ’24 election doing the business of Project 25. In this type of case, if they are a shade beyond suntanned white (RFK and Trump being the exceptions) and in any position of authority, they will be removed. NO POC senior or deputy senior dog catcher anywhere cannot rest easy during this administration.
