Trump Intends To Fulfill His “Movie Maker” Destiny With Alcatraz

The second Trump administration promises a number of things: a stunning global realignment for this country, major economic upheaval and a front row seat to the unraveling of what’s left of the mind of the narcissistic old fool in the White House. Trump announced today that “I guess I was supposed to be a movie maker. We started with the movie making and we’ll end.” Whut? Hey, it gets worse. It always does. Today’s presser was more than the usual zoo.

So Trump fell in love with the Birdman Of Alcatraz and some other guy who got nipped at by sharks? And Trump is now going to make a movie out of Alcatraz? Bear that nutty concept in mind and take a look at this. This is Trump chastising one billion Catholics worldwide for not being able to take a joke vis a vis the late Pope Francis.

You’re seeing some fragments pull together here into an overall mosaic. Trump 2.0 is about spectacle, which we knew but we didn’t know why. Evidently Trump is returning to his original fantasy of being a major movie producer and oh, how we wish Fred Trump had co-signed on that dream and just let it happen. Donald might have found his niche where he could be crazy and screw with peoples’ lives and troll women non stop and he might not have ended up in politics doing the same thing. Or, who knows? Maybe he would have been on The Apprentice as the self-made billionaire movie producer.

We will never know. But evidently Trump doesn’t believe in the path not taken and so he’s going to take his “movie maker” path at this late hour and evidently resurrecting a museum and turning it back into a prison is part of that dream. Now is Congress going to go along with this latest insanity, the ever present question?

Who knows? What Congress will do to reign in this lunatic is always the up in the air question. The one guarantee that we can make here is that Trump will keep coming up with crazy notions. I don’t think Alcatraz as a prison facility — again — is going to see the light of day. But at least now we know the *rationale* behind this nuttiness and how it sets the stage for nuttiness to come.

Except plenty of more raids by ICE on people, whether they are actual targets of ICE or merely people at the wrong place at the wrong time, say in a house that was previously occupied by people on ICE’s radar, as happened last week in Oklahoma. And expect either ICE agents or the wrong people to get killed. That’s a foregone conclusion when you go breaking into peoples’ homes in the middle of the night, that somebody is going to have a gun and is going to fight back.

And Trump will be fine with it all because it’s theatrical. It fits with him doing one last huzzah as Cecil B. DeTrump. You just heard that whacko declaration from the horse’s ass’s mouth.
