Tell me that you have an insatiable need to be the center of attention without telling me that you have an insatiable need to be the center of attention. Nancy Mace always postures as the victim. She makes copious posts to social media on a daily basis describing how hard it is to be her and how the world victimizes her. This is her activity when she’s not busy on television. Mace is known for having her staffers book her on TV six or seven times a week, which is a lot of bookings for people far more important than she is — but that’s the point. Mace follows the Trump line of PR, which is that you create your own visibility by manipulating the press, not by doing anything worthwhile that would cause media attention as a matter of course.
Reading Nancie's tweets is like reading a very poorly written romance novel.
Absolute fiction with a touch of cringe and you have to hide the cover with a paper bag because you are embarrassed to be seen reading it in public.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is recognized but “Trump/Mace Derangement Syndrome” only exists in the bucket list of Nancy Mace. How she wishes she had a derangement syndrome or hell, any syndrome named after herself.
Nancy, we will give you a hand here. We’ll pay attention to you for five minutes. We’re just a flyspeck in cyberspace, but hey, you take your attention where you find it right? This piece will probably get about 500 views because you’re not a big draw in blogging world, Nancy. You’re basically this year’s Michelle Bachmann, totally batshit. In other words, “you” are just this year’s model of Psycho Republican Congresswoman. There were many before you, there will be many after you.

And that story was necessary because this one didn’t grow any legs.
Ms. Mace seems the be the variable in all these weird stories. 🤷♂️

Nancy Mace does have one thing going right here: if you don’t get a hit the first time out, you keep making up more stories and eventually something you say will get some attention. It’s that way in the blogosphere, believe me. If you keep posting until something you posts grows legs and starts pulling in traffic, you will do okay as a blogger. Believe me, this place was built on that premise, just keep going. Although in all candor I don’t know if I was ever so desperate for traffic as Mace is for attention and I’ve been plenty desperate for traffic. There’s a whole other dynamic at play here, malignant narcissism unfed and going berserk as a result. That’s a bit different from just trying to keep the business going.
Mace put up a clip last week wherein she read from her hate mail. WARNING *****NOT SAFE FOR WORK*******very strong language. But you’re paying attention now right?

What I can tell Nancy personally is that it goes with the territory. We got an angry email the other day. The title was “Fuck Yourself, You Woke Cuck Faggot.” The sender didn’t like one of our stories. Happens all the time. I find it interesting that Mace is assuming that she’s getting those negative comments from the left and not from her own constituents.
Mace has one thing in common with Trump and that is that she loves attention, negative or positive. Evidently she only exists when the red light is switched on, on the camera. If there’s no audience, no Nancy. But not for long. She can be depended upon to create a crisis regularly so that we don’t forget that she’s out there.
Remember that old Nicole Kidman movie, where she spoke the line, “You’re nobody in America unless you’re on television.” That movie predicted the rise of one such as Mace.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see the end of Performative Politics and have congress critters actually get back to writing laws, representing their constituents and holding town halls? At least Democratic congress persons can do all three!
But republicans can’t.
Roll on the mid-terms.
