I am writing because I am mad as hell and sick and tired of the Republican response to Donald Trump’s unconstitutional, unlawful and just plain morally wrong and dismally cruel behavior. How DARE you, who represent the people in YOUR district in YOUR state of (insert state), worry more about “getting primaried” than about the staggering fear and humanitarian suffering of ONE SINGLE constituent in your district! It is unconscionable that you are more motivated by your own fear that a madman (and you know deep down that he IS a madman) will come and hurt YOU than in rectifying the existential, constitutional CRISIS that YOU and your fellow sycophants in the GOP have brought upon this nation.

What can Donald Trump do to you that is worse than what you are doing to the people who elected you, trusted you, believed in you, and sent you to REPRESENT them in Washington? Can Donald Trump hurt you more than he will hurt my disabled adult daughter who receives Medicaid and Social Security Disability and who is, at this writing, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, undergoing a SECOND cell transplant for her recurring, pervasive lymphoma (a blood cancer, in case you’re not up on your medical terms).

Kennedy Jr. as he delivers crazed mixed messages and false information about the measles vaccine and then has the unmitigated gall to attend the funeral of one of the children who has died in the very outbreak that he could have helped to stop if he had any clue what he is doing?

Let’s face it, Mr. or Ms. Republican Representative, right now YOU think it’s all about YOU. YOU and your fellow bootlicking backsliders in the party I call the Republi-chickens can only think about how to be loyal to and constantly pleased with “Dear Leader,” as I’m sure you call him in your prayers. Well, the people of your district have had enough. They are protesting in the streets and trying to talk to you as the doors of your elevators close. They are calling your office in greater numbers than they ever have before (and you know that because as long as you don’t “get primaried,” you’ve been lucky and gotten reelected at least a couple of times AND you have a stable of people to take and track said calls).

- Donald Trump is mentally ill. He is also a felon. He belongs in a Mental Hospital for Criminally Insane persons.
- If you don’t believe Donald Trump is Mentally Ill, see #4.
- The Republi-Chickens in Congress have given all of their power to a lying, mentally ill man whose name is Donald Trump, in exchange for, apparently, “not getting primaried.”
- It’s time to reclaim that power from Donald Trump by simply letting him know you will no longer tolerate his infantile and psychopathic behavior and that same behavior from his White House staff. Donald is a paper tiger, and he will cave if enough of you “just say no” (credit to former First Lady Nancy Reagan for coining that phrase, so it is actually a Republican philosophy) to his face.
- Get rid of Mile Johnson as Speaker of the House.
- Begin listening to your constituents (the ones who don’t actually believe Donald Trump is Christ Reincarnated). Don’t tell them they “deserved be fired” or call them “clowns,” and for sure don’t let elevator doors close in front of them while they are trying to talk to you (especially if you are being recorded). It’s not a good look.
- Try to reacquaint yourself with the phrase, “bipartisan.” Look it up if you have to. Practice being “bipartisan” before the term becomes nearly extinct again.
- GET SOME WORK DONE!!!!!

Meg, the entire Repugnican party is morally bankrupt, and has been for a VERY long time. Its only hope of survival is to be destroyed in its present form, which Trumpler’s doing, and then be resurrected behind a true leader who has yet to appear, who will rid the corpse of its cancer and its corruption. Don’t hold your breath.
Jarvis, I know what you say is true. The Republican Party as it exists today is DOA. My “Letter” to them is really satire, although I am working my way thru the list of current Republican Congress Critters, starting with my home state of Minnesota, until I have sent this letter to every one of them via email. Sadly, it will do more for me than it will for them.

Too, too true. BUT, unfortunately, it is a light that should be shone on Dem Reps also. There are those who are just a little too happy with the cushy berth in which they find themselves and trending towards being too insulated from their electorate. Get out and be seen to act in your voters’ and US best interests

I guess the only way they’ll listen is maybe when their house catches on fire. Hurt them personally, that’s the only way they’ll pay attention.
Make sure they have to spend their precious money to rebuild their lives and maybe they will look at their constituents differently when they have suffered too.
