I’m not sure if I can believe my eyes. CNN has a new banner headline, and it’s true? But, but, but really? This doesn’t make sense after this morning’s news. I try to check various possible sources for pieces because I don’t want to always write about CNN-sourced information. But this takes the cake!!!!! It took me a few moments to be able to speak because I was so stunned. As my friends and family, and coworkers know, once I get started, I don’t shut up, but I *never* interrupt others.
Mike Waltz has been nominated for UN Ambassador. Marco Rubio to take over as interim security secretary. Whaaaaaaaat? Here we thought Waltz was gone after the SignalGate big mess. But no. He’s just switching hats. You see, I figured they would eventually choose a scapegoat for that mess, BUT it was just as much of a fault as everyone else on the chat. It was the fact of what they were *discussing* on that commercially available app that was bigger than the wrong person. That doesn’t need to be outside a secure room. So, on SIGNAL? Classified military information on it? What the hell.
I also think Pete Hegseth with SignalGate 2 is much, MUCH worse. Those people have NO DAMN BUSINESS getting classified military information. And Petey Boy has been taking his wife to places she has no business being. His interviews for Secretary of Defense? Does he need his living security blanket everywhere he goes? That *really* bugs me. Apparently, it didn’t bother the Senate because they confirmed him. What a damn disaster that has been. Maybe he needs her to remember things for him, because it certainly seems his brain is about the size of a pea.
*ahem* Okay, back to Mike Waltz. I have no idea how he will do as an ambassador. None. Zero, zilch, nada. I didn’t think he was a *bad* advisor, just a little less informed. He tried damn hard to fulfill the needs of the administration. Yet … as we all know, the Pampers President goes through security advisors like he goes through French fries. Seems to me they had to pick someone to take the fall, but he actually did okay in the job, so he’s just making a lateral move. No reason why he wouldn’t make a good ambassador. He might even think to ask other ambassadors for advice.
Marco Rubio is going to have a hell of a lot of weight on his shoulders. Secretary of state, interim security advisor, national archivist, and head of USAID, which tRump is doing his best to destroy. THAT one is a whole other rant. I hope he’s up for it. I haven’t been impressed with his actions as Secretary of State. He kinda fades into the background. But again, who knows?
El Presidente Imbécil has a mess of a cabinet. He went for loyalty and looks instead of people with actual experience. *He* just wanted the get out of jail free card. He had no intention of doing the work of a president. He just wanted to sign things and then go golf. Well, he golfs a lot, true. And he’s made a big, big mess of the US, with the whole ridiculous mess of tariffs only being a part of it. Too many executive orders to keep separate means he does something and then expects other people to make it happen … except for the damn tariffs. He’s lost the respect of the world, and allies streaming out the door, and a potential recession, plus we still have a BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL coming. Yea right. Just more insanity to look forward to.
