Brainworm Bobby is going after autism again. He thinks that the increase in diagnoses is due to an “environmental toxin”, when studies have already ruled that it’s a complex combination of factors. But RFK Jr is going to put studies in place to isolate the “environmental toxin” that causes autism. Yet another waste of taxpayers’ money, for something that’s already been done. The man refuses to see what’s in front of his face, AND, he has declared autism to be an “epidemic”. Yea, he’s a conspiracy theorist nut job. But we knew that, right?
He has fired so many people that, as an example, the CDC is a shadow of itself. He won’t have an answer by September because they don’t have enough people to work on it very fast, so is he going to lie and say that the studies proved it’s a toxin? I wouldn’t put it past him, no, not at all, especially when you add in the whole antivax nonsense. Suuuuure he’s not going to be spouting any of that crap, yet he does so every damn day. Look at the whole measles case, which is spreading rapidly and could very well become an epidemic, if it isn’t already. And all because people are brainwashed enough to listen to what he says and don’t do the right thing for their children.
Speaking of vaccines, they cause autism, too?! I’m sure you’re glad to have that information. So, is it vaccines or an environmental toxin, Bobby? You might want to make up your mind on which it is while you are blowing taxpayer dollars on studies for something that doesn’t exist? The autism rate is going up because we now have better tools for diagnosing it, not because of some specific piece of something! It can’t be isolated down to just one specific thing. Here’s the truth in a more specific way: Zachary Warren, a pediatric psychiatrist and autism researcher at Vanderbilt University, states. “We may have hundreds, if not thousands, of different neurogenetic factors that in combination with complicated environmental interactions influence presentations of autism,” he said via email. WHAM!!! That’s how he’s wrong.
Here’s the part that really got my back up. Kennedy said, “these are kids who will never pay taxes. They’ll never hold a job. They’ll never play baseball. They’ll never write a poem. They’ll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted.” You ignorant S.O.B. *I* pay taxes and *I* work and *I* use the bathroom by myself. I’m considered to be on the spectrum because I have ADHD. Your lines are bull****. You have NO idea what you’re talking about. I wonder who gave you that information to parrot on the news? Because it’s wrong, wrong, WRONG. Sure, there are some people who are that bad, but by NO means are *ALL* of us that bad. There are degrees of difference between what a “normal” autistic person can do and someone on the other end. I’ll bet you didn’t think of that, did you? No, you just spout the lines you’re fed and never think about what you’re saying. I guess this proves he doesn’t think (again).
I detest this man more every day. He’s not helping HHS. He’s hurting them. And if he keeps mouthing off, everyone will start to think HHS is full of the same sort of idiots, and THAT is something I don’t want to contemplate. There are *good* people in HHS. They didn’t ask for him as a leader (I assume), they don’t want him as a leader (assuming again), because he has no idea of what he’s talking about. He looks like more of an idiot every time he opens his mouth. And *this* is what he says on TV, and that’s how people get this wrong information. (The measles vaccine that could have prevented this soon-to-be-epidemic causes autism, and that’s why he doesn’t support vaccines.) “No, no, I’m really *not* an antivaxxer!” yea, he just plays one on TV. How long did it take before he spoke against the measles vaccine? The answer is “not very”. So now look at what is happening.
This man has no business being the head of HHS. He has no idea what they *actually* do and has shut down most of the programs that are needed. He’s cut people who are needed. He says they’re re-hiring some who shouldn’t have been cut, and we now know that’s a flat-out lie. We’re 90 days in, so we have the rest of the 4 years to look at him doing damage to what should have been the truth. He’s a great example of the Mango Mandarin Messiah’s organization. And he looks good on TV. Yuck.

I heard him on TV the other day and he called Autism a “disease”. It’s actually a disorder, not a disease. This shows how clueless he is. He really doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but that doesn’t stop him from shooting his mouth off. I think tRump chose him for 2 reasons; he loves him a conspiracy theory and name recognition. I don’t think he looks good on TV, especially that raspy voice sounds like he’ll be hoarse any second.
I’m right there with you, sister. I’m ADHD, before we had those initials. I served 20 years in the military as an avionics tech, went to community college for legal assistant where I made the dean’s list for my GPA. Work another 19 years before retiring.

That one flew under the radar of pretty much everyone. I got an article on my phone in my news feed from Google from a medical site about it. I don’t normally get much news from medical sites, but Google must have thought I’d be interested in it. The Google AI was right.
The reading gave me a long pause and caused me to wonder why the DOJ was pursuing a policy (culture war) agenda instead of upholding our laws. This has to be the most compromised DOJ in our history!

These are funds for Head Start (low-income early-learning for 1M little kids), Americorps (low-income college while tutoring school kids; rebuilding Paradise, CA, after the fires; aiding FEMA in NC after Hurricane Helene), the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP to help with utility bills in 6M households), and even the group that data-analyzes who meets the eligibility for all those programs!! Well yah, low income! Why give those freeloaders any HUMAN services?! Kennedy is too busy “proving” vaccines cause autism!! 🤡
The best suggestion I’ve read is the genetic component. The numbers exploded around 2002, especially in Silicon Valley where a good many coders were on the spectrum. For the first time they could find members of the opposite sex who got them.. The resulting offspring got a double dose of genetics.
The focal point shouldn’t necessarily be that some kook with no background in science or medicine is pushing widely debunked theories on diseases, conditions, and other things that ail us; it’s that anyone is listening to him. Oh, and there is that unpleasant little fact that he’s in charge of all the government machinery that has anything to do with the health and welfare of every single American.
