And that cult leader dictated what was Reality. If Big Brother said it, so it was, and anybody who argued became an Un-person. An Un-person was an enemy of the state and ceased to exist and all record of them was eradicated. And woe unto you if you even alluded to having had a memory of such a being. For the moment we still have a functioning Bureau of Labor Statistics and a functioning Federal Reserve. Do not look for that to continue, necessarily. Trump needs to be able to become the ultimate authority on what things cost, and what we pay for everything, money included, and so in order to do that, he will at some point have to replace every government agency with people who are willing to lie through their teeth to back his every play. After all, that’s the purpose of Project 2025, right?
Tomorrow is Day 90 of this waking nightmare. It’s ironic that Trump talks about serving a third term because at the rate he’s going we’ll be back to sticks and stones and fire long before he even finishes this one.

I took classes in 22 departments at Carolina, including all the sciences and high level math. That being said, the best professor I ever had was classes studying Biblical texts. He taught at Princeton and Davidson. He knew languages. He knew archeology. He knew ancient history. He was in WW2 as a Chaplin. Then in 1973 I had a near death experience that changed my path. I directly experienced supernatural darkness, hellspeak, and whomever commanded it, told me I was dead. Since I was immobilized, blind, and mute, I seriously considered it. Then I asked God to help me, and what had gone on for who knows how long, since time as we know it disappeared, it was over in a twinkling of an eye. I told my parents, my church on Sunday morning, and changed everything about my beliefs. I remember the details like looking at a tattoo on your body, even 52 years later. I still can’t decide whether I’m blessed or cursed to know supernatural evil is real, and those “powers and principalities”, as St. Paul mentioned in the New Testament isn’t just talk. The exorcisms and the way the demons immediately recognized Christ seem real to me now. I find it amazing these so called ‘christians’ have NO FEAR OF GOD OR THE DEVIL. They should respect BOTH. After all, we only get a set number of trips around the sun. Now I REALLY understand J D Salinger’s phrase, ‘catcher in the rye’.
What does it profit a man to gain the WHOLE WORLD, but lose HIS SOUL? Jesus. Excellent question. Something these temporary bags of flesh and bones should consider. Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. That’s not an alternative fact or fake news. That’s the inspired word. In this case…science and religion are indistinguishable.

Just remember that Christ said “Turn the other cheek” when you were struck (Matt 5:39) and that you were to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt 5:44).
It’d be nice if you remembered those words when you engage in your frequent rants and screeds and calls to arms. Apparently, your “near death experience” led you to only a partial understanding of Christ and His teachings.
You might also want to remember that EVERYTHING recorded in the Bible was done as PROPAGANDA, written by men who had their own reasons–spreading Christianity–and none of whom wrote any of these stories during Jesus’s presumed lifetime. The earliest gospels were not written down for at least 30 years after the supposed date of the Crucifixion. And none of the Bible was even considered holy canonical literature until the early 4th century–with many Christian communities contributing their own tales and stories. The early Church fathers decided what they wanted to accept and what they didn’t and a lot of good tales were relegated to the proverbial trash heap because they were considered “unflattering”–but there’s also a lot in the Bible that’s quite contradictory. Read Genesis 1 and 2 and tell me if God created man and woman at the same time or if Adam was created first. Or why there an account of Noah’s Ark that says just two of every kind of animal and an account where Noah had two of every “unclean” animal but 7 of every “clean” animal–especially odd since there was nothing about any animals that were clean or unclean or why God would want Noah to bring the “unclean” animals aboard in the first place.

I.am.not a Christian. Your version of the supernatural makes no sense to me. My faith is more nuanced. What you do, returns to you threefold, in this life or the next. We don’t believe in anything like the Devil; he’s part of Christian mythology.
I do believe in life after death. I shared a house for 8 years with 3ghostd. First time I saw one, I was half-assedly watching a movie while sewing. And I raised my head to look at the tv,and it was blocked by a black person-shaped thing. I glanced away. There was another one at the other end of the couch. I called my husband,, who calmly informed me that they were the young woman and the older one. And he went back to bed.
You cannot assume that your version of the afterlife is the only one. I think we go to the one we’ve lived by.
