Again and always, if you wrote Trump world as a script, nobody would believe it. Who can be so stupid as to add a reporter onto a classified information phone call about a military exercise about to be carried out? But that happened, because Michael Waltz meant to add somebody else when he added Jeffrey Goldberg onto the call. And to add to the black comedy of that gaffe, nobody learned anything in the White House. The exact same thing happened a few days later at the White House. Trump wanted to speak to Governor Henry McMaster and who should he end up dialing? Would you believe H.R. McMaster?
Just over a month ago, retired Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster received an unexpected call on his personal cell, four sources told CBS News. It was from the White House and he was instructed by the voice on the other end to stand by for the president.
McMaster, who had served as national security adviser during President Trump’s first term and was ousted after 13 months, was surprised to hear from Mr. Trump at all.
Just a day earlier, on March 2, Mr. Trump had lobbed his latest insult at McMaster, blasting him on social media as a “weak and totally ineffective loser.” McMaster had also just appeared on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” where he voiced skepticism about Mr. Trump’s overtures to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Putin’s willingness to end the war in Ukraine.
“Henry…” is how Trump opened the call before launching into the conversation, according to two sources who were not authorized to discuss private conversations.
It was then that McMaster knew this familiar voice was indeed Mr. Trump. But he also realized something else: the commander-in-chief had not intended to call him at all.
McMaster goes by H.R., short for Herbert Raymond. Not Henry.
“Mr. President, this is H.R. McMaster,” he said into the phone.
“Why the f*** would I talk” to H.R. McMaster? Trump asked dismissively, and then Trump launched into a scathing critique of his former aide, two sources said.
Vintage Trump. He’s the wrongdoer, the man on the other end of the phone is the one being annoyed and/or inconvenienced — yet Trump does DARVO and turns it all around.
In a statement, White House communications director Steven Cheung criticized the former national security adviser.
“H.R. McMaster has completely beclowned himself and his third-rate book, which is now sold in the bargain bin of the fiction section of a discount bookstore, is filled with lies in a futile attempt to rehabilitate his tattered reputation,” Cheung said.
Whether any of that is true or not completely misses the point. McMaster was called by accident. That was due to incompetence on the part of somebody at the White House. The incompetence is the issue, not McMaster’s literary bona fides or the lack thereof.
But once again, this administration is consistent. It “beclowns” itself on a daily basis. And then turns around and attacks the people it victimizes, whether it be an innocent man swept from his Maryland home and sent to an El Salvadoran prison, or an innocent former Trump aide, minding his own business and answering his phone. All those people are wrong. Trump is perfect. That’s the message here. Now and always. Der Fuhrer can do no wrong. This is not America. This can’t end soon enough.

I am always slapped back to the reality that these are morons with immense power and they are using it to hurt all of us! You finish with “this cannot end soon enough.” I got ask, Ursula, what makes you think it will end? I am not asking to be flippant. I really have no way to envision the ending. Voting systems are being infiltrated, taken over, or destroyed altogether. That is part of the plan, if you can call this wrecking ball administration a plan.
Last night, Trump signed the Executive Order to re-create our southern border as a 3000 mile long military base so the Army can capture all “invaders” who are trespassing on that base! (I live a quarter-mile from that border. I am looking at it right now from my back porch! There is no invasion! There are no armed cartels invading! There is no invasion! But there are military helicopters patrolling! There are US soldiers and razor wire for no reason! That is frightening! I am about to be living on a giant Joint Base Southern Border!!)
This may be the final move leading to the invoking of the Insurrection Act on April 20! This is not just my paranoia. Trump has requested the answer from Hegseth and Noem about whether they believe it is time for that invocation…will they disagree?! Trump is ready to declare martial law in advance of the next “Hands Off!” day of protests!
“Experts” are arguing that martial law is not really a thing and, at any rate, presidents have no authority to declare such a thing! So what?! Trump does what he wants! 😱🤬

The only thing I know to be true,is life, on EVERY level, from the micro to the macro, is ever changing. No matter how it appears, and, I agree with you it does look bleak, nothing last forever.
