Jasmine Crockett Is The Bomb As She Unleashes On MTG At NPR and PBS Funding Hearing

I heart Jasmine Crockett. She is smart and observant and tells it like it is. No wonder Marjorie Taylor Greene can’t stand her. If MTG gets into a battle with Jasmine, she’s going to lose Every. Single. Time. That’s *awesome*. I’ve seen quite a few articles about Jasmine’s doings, and short or long, they are worth reading! (She’s not my rep, but I certainly support her!)

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled post. During a House Oversight subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, she and MTG went at it over NPR and PBS programming funding. Here, have a couple of quotes from The Daily Beast: “Greene and other GOP members grilled the heads of NPR and PBS on allegations of perceived bias to determine whether to continue federal funding,” according to The Daily Beast. “It should not be surprising that the president is doing everything possible to make it more difficult for the media to hold him accountable, and for the public to be informed about his reckless and illegal behavior — yet here we are,” Crockett began before asking the media leaders about how stripping their funding would hurt the public at large.”

“Isn’t it true that without these stations’ broadcasts, Americans in rural communities would lack access to lifesaving information and public safety alerts?” Crockett asked Ulman, who answered in the affirmative. Yea, the government is stomping all over us, and they don’t care that they’re doing it. Crockett continued, “In your opinion, would eliminating funding for stations in rural America like WNGH, Channel 18, in the chairwoman’s district. hurt Americans?” “It would hurt Americans, yes,” Alaska Public Radio Ed Ulman answered. Well said. great question, too, laid it all out there.

Okay, one more lovely quote and I’ll get back to my opinions. “In fact, Georgia Public Broadcasting serves as the official distributor of evacuation routes during state evacuations, and the chairwoman is here advocating to strip their funding. Look, the DOGE agenda isn’t about efficiency; it’s about breeding corruption at the expense of the safety of the American people, particularly rural and remote parts of the country. They don’t care about public safety. They don’t care about emergency management. They don’t care about free speech, all of which are harming the American people.” Crockett continued, “To be clear, free speech is not about whatever it is y’all want somebody to say. And the idea that you want to shut down everybody that is not Fox News is bull—-. We need to stop playing because that’s what y’all are doing in here. You don’t want to hear the opinions of anybody else.”

And now you see why I heart Jasmine. She’s one of the few who takes a stand on the opposite side of idiots like Marjorie Taylor Greene. They’ve gone at it before, and MTG *always* loses. You would think she’d shut up, but no, she has to do MAGA and Traitor Tot’s bidding. She refuses to see what she and others are doing to our country. One of these days, she’s going to notice those skyrocketing prices. She won’t listen to anyone else, but there would be proof of what’s happening. Jasmine has noticed. She’s noticed a certain bleach blonde’s hypocrisy and seems to take great delight in pointing it out. She’s not afraid to speak up when the House is in session. So, we have a smart, intelligent woman standing up and working for our country. And if something benefits her, that’s a bonus. We need more people like her and AOC. Where do we get them? Maybe at midterms?
