The one thing that has never deserted us during the Trump years is our sense of humor. Another thing that we still have is our grit. Those two qualities will help us through the next two years. If Trump continues on the kamikazee path that he’s on, he will set up the House for a forty-seat loss and set up the loss of Senate control as well. So while we have to deal with his insane tariffs, and DOGE, and the gutting of our national security systems, and who knows what else will happen next, at least we’re looking at a day of reckoning. That day is November 3, 2026. Meanwhile, here’s what America had to say to Donald today.
And of course there are the usual right-wing posts, that all these people in the streets are “being paid.” What a jaded look at life, to believe that no American will bestir him or herself for any reason other than a greenback? But then again, this is MAGA we’re talking about.
Meanwhile, back at Mar-a-Lago, Donald cheats his way towards yet another golf trophy. Trump may soon find himself related to Tiger Woods in a fashion. Woods is dating Vanessa Trump, Junior’s ex-wife. I wonder if Trump would want to play Woods. Or maybe the way to put that question is, “Would Woods want to let Trump cheat?” We live in interesting times.

I’ve been using the ‘nut’ gargling thing myself recently when referring to our leaders, great minds, I suppose. I also particularly liked the checks and balances sign. The needle must be moved in Congress if there is to be a halt to this insanity without a revolt of some kind, because no amount of protests will move the creature in the White House; he’s too sure of his infallibility.
