This is the elephant in the room that nobody talks about but it’s becoming increasingly evident as the days go by. The titular *president* has no clue what is going on in the government. We have seen two glaring examples of that this week. On Monday all hell broke loose with SignalGate. But Trump did a Sgt. Schultz on it. He knew nothing, nothing. Then also this week, even more egregiously, he didn’t know about the missing (now dead) soldiers in Lithuania.

So there’s two major news stories this week and the guy is clueless. So what is happening here? The obvious is that nobody is briefing him and that must be at his request. Or, Trump has delegated the “day to day” work to Elon and Elon is supposed to deal with all this. And we see how well that’s working out.

At some point this is going to have to be addressed. We cannot continue as a nation if nobody is in charge, or if the people in charge don’t know what they’re doing. We’ve seen two such glaring incidents this week.

The day is young. Let’s see if Mike Waltz still has a job by sunset.

  1. There is an eerie parallel between the treatment of two cases.

The first is the way ‘Hilary’s emails’ cost her an election, and yet a bunch of overage frat boys in the White House can get away with literal murder on an unsecure cyber link by calling it a military operation. The D side is pilloried, the R side gets away with murder.

The second is the way Biden had to quit, ‘too old’, ‘loosing it’, ‘going senile’, but Trump literally doesn’t know what’s going on, even when the aforesaid frat boys murder civilians in a faraway conflict on his behalf, but no-one is calling for him to step down – even though he’s clearly not all here. And not in charge, while others assume his authority to kill people.

How did this ridiculous double standard start?

And when will this pathetic hypocrisy end?

  2. Yes, “at some point this (chaos) is going to have to be addressed.” But by whom? The answer is Congress but we all know that the GOP side is too shitscared of Trump’s shadow to do anything and the Dem side seems frozen in the headlights. Thus far only the courts have fought back. Maybe this Hegseth atrocity will spur the armed forces to action but no one really wants a military junta in charge; their record worldwide is pretty grim. If nothing’s done soon, I fear it will fall to we the people and that could mean a literal bloodbath.

  3. is he refusing briefings? are his minions just acting on their own and leaving him out? or is he getting briefings and forgetting them? which is worse?
