There are few problems that need to be taken with greater seriousness and urgency than instances of known sexual assault or men known to be dangerous in a one to one environment. Ask all of us parents with daughters about some of our worst fears. So it isn’t like there’s any tolerance for those men that women credibly accuse to be sexual predators. But a situation is developing with South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace that just screams abuse but not the type she’s alleging. Mace made a speech on the House floor in which she called a group of men – one that included her ex-fiance, of being sexual predators. Well, it’s not like there’s any reason to not believe her except for the fact that accusations against real sexual predators need to be made in police reports and not in speeches to colleagues in Congress. It looks more like an agenda. And now Mace is facing some consequences by accused men demanding answers.
From a report from South Carolina’s NBC Affiliate:
Attorneys sent an open letter to U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace refuting the remarks she made on the floor of Congress accusing multiple men, including her ex-fiancé, of being sexual predators. Mace talked on Feb. 25 about multiple scenarios involving four men.
The Bland Richter Law Firm sent Mace an open letter on behalf of Brian Musgrave, one of the other three men Mace named during her speech. This letter was a demand for action and it states that if Mace refuses to take the steps outlined, the letter will be offered to a court in the future.
Given that the truth is always the ultimate defense in these situations, it sure doesn’t sound like this Brian Musgrave fears any evidence out there that might indicate that he is somehow a sexual predator.
It is sadly not all that surprising that Nancy Mace caught up in all this. She is no predator but she’s certainly one of the most active political critters in the House and as big an opportunist as exists. Mace seems to rarely pass up the chance to make waves or headlines. On this one it sounds like she’s gone way too far. Unless she has something to offer to back these allegations, she might want to seriously consider getting herself out of this mess by stepping away really slowly and stating some generalities about getting ahead of herself a bit and not having direct knowledge about any of these people.
Or put her proof on the table, in a police report, and not on the House record. This isn’t hard. But it is serious.

.Friends, we are struggling to make ends meet. It’s not just us, it’s industry wide. There are star hosts being bumped on MSNBC as we speak. (Joy Reid and Alex Wagner) So if you can afford a small donation or a monthly subscription, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ursula

It will be interesting to see what she chooses to do next. I fully expect that she is a performative jerk, similar to MTG. We will see if she proves herself differently.
So, can we expect Nancy to make a speech on the House floor condemning HER “president” (the despicable #DrowsyDonnie) as a sexual predator? I mean, it’s not like HER “president” (#DrowsyDonnie) wasn’t found guilty of sexual abuse by a jury in May of 2023 or described as a “rapist” in June of 2023 by the judge in that case.
But, I’m guessing Mace will be more “Mouse” than “Warrior” in that particular fight. After all, she’s got to run for reelection in 2026 (unless she plans on challenging Miz Lindsey for the Senate seat in 2026) and she can’t afford to get on #DrowsyDonnie’s bad side again.
