Elon Musk has managed to get his sticky fingers into Social Security.
Millions of Americans, like me, depend on their Social Security checks to live. Now Elon is in there with baseless claims of fraud. “There are people that are 150 or 200 years old in the system!” Uhm, no. A 2024 report from the SSA’s Inspector General found that only 0.84% of the 8.6 trillion benefits were improperly dispensed. That’s not a lot of fraud, not at all.
So where are they coming up with these numbers? If Muskrat’s sticky fingers were in our personal information, it wouldn’t show any massive amounts of fraud. It simply doesn’t exist. But they’re using it as a reason to make cuts to pay for the damn tax break that helps corporations and hurts the people of the US.
The Inspector General got fired after getting into it with Elon about access to SS systems. Well, at least one person knew that the *people* were the ones who counted and not the boys determined to go in wherever they can and screw with the systems. Read only access, ha, no way. That’s just what we, the public, are told. But more and more is coming out about how they are coding programs and messing with everything where they do NOT BELONG. There must have been some fast talking for DOGe to be able to get permission to do this, let alone actually get in there.
How many people have actually thought about what it means for DOGe to have access to their personal information? I know I have and it scares me. How easy would it be for one of them to erase your presence to where you don’t exist? “Oooops, I goofed” but then they can’t get it back. I don’t think there’s a “back” option in the code. So you vanish and I don’t know if you can get yourself back in there. Think about how much information could be lost if they wipe something. From your birth certificate to your job history, gone. Ohhhh that is not a good thought.
So someone could say I’m fear-mongering. Perhaps I am. But we need to open people’s eyes to what could happen and rise up again to show the people have noticed and they are unhappy, perhaps even angry. We have to start somewhere and we have to start soon or Elon may very well take over the country. The Mango Mandarin is a figurehead, signing Executive Orders, and saying stupid sh*t. Other than that, it’s all Muskrat all the time. He doesn’t belong in government. He has no idea how things are done so he just strongarms everyone until he gets what he needs (hello coders and private information) and what he wants. That’s ugly. That needs to stop. Now.

And, the stories of growing numbers of lawmakers and TV pundits, including Jesse Watters at FauxNews, screaming that their family, friends, and constituents are losing checks and benefits and research dollars…oh my!! I heard that SSA puts in ridiculous birth dates for dormant accounts, so they know not to pay out benefits. There could be accounts with birthdates 150-200 years ago, but are they receiving benefits? My guess is no.
