Elon Musk is living a meme – according to him and his description of his life as President Donald Trump’s darling chaotic government cost-cutter and job stealer (How many of those jobs are going to Space X, Grok, and “X”?) He showed up today at CPAC – you aren’t anyone on the Right unless you’re a presence at CPAC, even the richest guy on earth – with a gold chainsaw, supposedly emblematic of what he’s doing to the government, only there’s no gold going around, or even being saved, clearly very pleased with himself. Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Grimes – the Canadian singer/songwriter, and all around badass really weird chick, has apparently had so much trouble getting a hold of Musk that she had to tweet today to even get his attention about a medical crisis involving one of their three children.
Why is it that I have no trouble at all believing that he would either ignore her calls or have no idea she’s making them because she’s either blocked or – like good billionaires everywhere, he doesn’t even carry his phone but has someone working for him do so and that person is under instructions to never bother Musk about something from any ex-wife?
We don’t know. The only known is that Grimes most certainly doesn’t need the publicity, and it’s hard to think of a situation in which she would gain by embarrassing Musk. The most likely explanation is Occam’s take on it. Their child needs medical care but she’s reluctant to do it without Musk’s approval beforehand and she damn well can’t get a hold of him. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.
One would think that such a message would be extremely humiliating and thus it makes sense that it was quickly deleted, probably the moment after Musk actually contacted her. Grimes can likely be trusted in this situation. She is definitely weird, but purposefully so. She is also a mom and a very very smart one at that. She is the one who Musk met over Twitter and married him and had three children with him. I suspect that they had a child that needs medical attention, nothing more – and she was forced into a bad situation because Musk is too busy living a meme.

I find it actually pretty sad. No doubt, Musk’s kids will have the best of everything in this world, the best of everything except the love of a dad in the home watching over their development. I can’t imagine such a scenario. I know that I’ve gone through my daughter’s whole life never missing more than three days in a row and she reflects my values on so much – something that matters given I had her later in life (40) kind of like Musk. I simply cannot relate to having a child in crisis and not being in a position to know or care. I can’t relate to having a child who wouldn’t want me there and wouldn’t want my support or opinion on things.
Very strange. Family values? You cannot take any one person and make them a reflection of an entire movement, ever – it’s a big no no with me. But this guy sure jumped in head first and isn’t exactly what most consider the family values type, having just gotten another woman pregnant, not much more than a girl at 26 years old (Not even half Musk’s age at 54). Strange guy. Makes Grimes look downright staid. Anyway, obviously we hope the child is okay – the true innocent party and no one wishes kids harm.

Well, it could be an issue in which their custody arrangements requires the Muskrat to consent to any medical decisions (including going to the emergency room). Also, it might not be of the emergency-emergency type; it could be some sort of medical condition that’s been present for a while and the pair need to have a serious talk regarding further treatment.
What’s interesting about this is that the little kid that the Muskrat was toting around in the Oval Office recently was his and Grimes’ eldest child. It would be incredibly wild if the medical issue was the result of his playing around in the Oval Office.
