Never following through. Never actually thinking and that’s not a surprise. Shut down communications. Don’t talk to anyone outside your organization. You can’t say anything you just keep on working if you can. How much will he eliminate? We need these places and for very good reasons!
Avian flu and the science for it and what to do. You keep on studying and researching. There’s always been a firewall between these and political appointees. Except now it’s not there anymore. They can barely move because of the new rules of being “reviewed by a political appointee”. So now everything you do has Big Brother watching you. How in the HELL are you supposed to do anything. Having someone hanging over my shoulder would make it difficult to work and I’m only typing! At my previous job, my supervisor decided he wants to make sure of everything I do, so watching our ticket program numbers and spreadsheets and, and, and, to including threats equivalent to “walking me out the door” which translates to me getting fired. How in the hell was I supposed to work like that? I didn’t get the courage to tell him to back off for YEARS. Once I did and he did, my stats improved exponentially! The same applies here. Hang over someone and their work will suffer. ARGH.
I’m worried about this avian flu. It’s jumped to humans and cattle and whatnot, and what if it gets more widespread? There has been a vaccine available for it but it hasn’t gotten approved enough to be able to get it. And now the damn thing will spread even more. Your egg prices, that the Orange Baby Balloon had promised to bring down, are going to go even higher because of all the hens that have had to be put down because they’re sick. Eating something from one of them is Bad News, not to mention Spreading It Further. And none of these organizations can talk to each other now, if they don’t have political approval. Why would a politician have to approve something like “well, we have this virus, and it’s pretty bad and pretty quick to spread so may we talk to each other so we can work on a vaccine to make it less bad?” “Uh, I don’t know I’ll have to ask.” *facepalm* We don’t know how bad this is to anyone but the hens. I sincerely hope it doesn’t turn into a new style of Covid. That’s not a good thing to think about.

Part of me wonders if he isn’t hoping avian flu becomes another Covid. The first people dying were elderly ( no more Social.Security or Medicare funds to be paid out so saves a shot ton of money),poor ( had to.go to work to.keep.a roof over their heads, so no.more Medicaid for them) or children ( he wants to get rid of.public schools, so if enough kids die and teachers resign, he’s closer to.his dreams). See, there’s an up.side to a pandemic
I am so glad we have a president who believes he knows more than generals, doctors, economists, scientists, educators, theologians, AI, historians, basically all intelligent people. Then I wake up and realize we’re fuc-ked. He doesn’t know shit. May our Congress develop a spine and save our constitution.
