<cue “Money” by Pink Floyd> Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth, Matt Gaetz and prostitutes, Elon Musk, and more good ol’ boys. I’m glancing at a partial article about what the NON ordained “pastor” Pete Hegseth supports and it’s terrifying. In brief and paraphrased, he preaches that women should essentially be raped any time the man wants sex, there is no lovemaking allowed. The woman gives the man thoughts of rape because she is not submissive enough. The woman should make the sandwiches. This is worse, to me, than all the “Tradwife” mindset that is coming back. It *is* sexual assault, it *is* rape, because the woman has no say in it. She HAS to do what her husband “needs” of her. Period.

At least Tradwives MAKE that choice. But I chose NOT to. I choose to be strong and take care of MYSELF! But a “religion” that demands these things? Not just no, but HELL NO. I am not cattle. I am not a meek, submissive, do what you want, my husband, person. I am MYSELF and not a possession. My husband and I are partners. We share responsibilities. But that is OUR choice. It is not the choice of an unordained pastor of a “church”. It’s not church, it’s brainwashing. No wonder Hegseth has a sexual assault on record if he believes that claptrap.

What these men seem to forget is that it’s *impossible* for a family to survive on one income. Impossible!!! So then what do you do? Can’t have it both ways! Either the woman is home, meek and submissive, or you put that aside so both persons can live and not just survive. That’s only possible for the rich. They don’t need to worry about money, so the woman can be home and do that bull$h*t. Enter rich: Elon Musk wants his own version of The Handmaid’s Tale – every white woman should be creating a plethora of babies. Every. One. Sure, go ahead make your woman breeding stock. When she dies because her body has worn out, you can just grab another one, eh?

During her campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris’ lead issue was women’s rights and “we shall not go back”. Now there was a comment in the article that said she might have won if she has included women’s rights in Gaza. Ok, writer, how do you KNOW that? She did a DAMN good job for coming late into the game. She *should* have won. But now we face 4 years of darkness. But somehow, once she’s recovered from the insane schedule she had for MONTHS, I don’t think she’ll *stop* working on women’s rights – it will be just a little less publicly and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Donald Trump Herr Dictator? I almost don’t have to say anything here because half the WORLD knows what he’s done. Too bad that tape came out, Donny. You weren’t careful enough about that. And you weren’t careful enough with the things you said about E. Jean. So not only did you sexually assault her, then you made it worse by not keeping your yap shut. You ended up with TWO losses instead of one, and nearly all were because you don’t know when to shut up. Actually, you NEVER know when to shut up.

Matt Gaetz and his prostitutes. Matt with his sex with a minor. I guess you didn’t have enough control to keep it in your pants, did you Matty? Then you thought resigning would close the House investigation. But someone in that committee convinced the others it still needed to come out, and it did. So now it’s known across the US that you just couldn’t keep it in your pants. The drug parties were a bonus. You still haven’t learned. But you have the perfect job over at OANN so you’re good to go because your history doesn’t matter over there. Actually, I can’t think of much that DOES matter over there.

Don’t give up, ladies!!! Rape is a violent act. Rape is not a privilege. Sexual assault is not a privilege! Rape destroys lives! Rape is a means of control. Well, let them control *themselves*. Rape is a sin, not a sacrament. Rape is not a right!

  1. If even a small family cannot get by financially on one salary, how in the world will these families with no birth control? Remember the family on reality tv that had 19 kids and counting? The dad had no idea how to house and feed them all until the tv show came along.

  2. There’s a very good reason that women like me choose to remain single after losing a spouse. I’m better on my own. After 10 years as a widow, one could even say I’m thriving. Which pisses off some (insecure) men. Being a single woman in today’s America is practically self-defense. And this goes way beyond Roe v. Wade, since I’m 60 now and not worried about pregnancy. It’s a matter of human rights, human dignity. I’m not alone in the fact that many of my closest interactions with men have been hurtful (I was sexually molested by my grandfather at the age of 8, and groomed at 15 by a “family friend,”) and if not for the 18 years of marriage to a wonderful (secure) man, I might be a hot mess today. As it is, I want nothing to do with men and their “protector” fantasies. Don’t they realize men are the only ones women need protecting from? I will not be raped again.

    • I am 75. A widow at 34, remarried at 38. We’ve been together for 38 years, married for 36. I hated being single because every Mr..Wrong at SF cons and SCA events would hit on me. I was never good at dating. I’d had two relationships before I met my first husband, and when I lost him, the idea of dating (I had 2_dates in high school, 4-5 in college) gave me acid reflux. I think it’s a huge difference between 34 and 50-60.

    • Unscrupulous women have ‘raped’ my life several times…so your implications that men are the only problem is naive.

      • How many mass murders have women committed? How many wars did we start? Only toxic men get defensive like this when discussing the patriarchy. Ad Hominem attacks are not a sign of strength.

        • How many women died to give you the democracy where you can express your opinion? I’m not defending patriarchy…just pointing out your personal history is NOT an argument for writing off a gender. I can easily match horror stories where women are the villains…it proves nothing. Calling me toxic reveals a narrow-minded point of view.
