So I was flipping through the news, looking for something to talk about, (although there are many people who say I never shut up, but ANYHOW), and ran across this interesting article and what Co-President Musk could do with DOG-e being completely outside the government as an advisory committee through 2026. Seems like there’s more than one reason he’s doing this. He’s looking at the chances of getting his top people from all his companies actually INTO the government in various places. Now isn’t that interesting?
“Musk bet big on Trump and spent millions to back him. However, Musk wasn’t just doing this out of the kindness of his heart. Many of Musk’s companies. including Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), xAI, The Boring Company, and Neuralink, heavily rely on government contracts and subsidies. They have made billions in federal dollars.” But wait, there’s more!
But, how will Musk play a prominent role in politics and the Trump administration while still running his businesses? It appears that Musk will assemble an “A-Team” to act as his mouthpiece in government. “America’s A team is usually building companies in the private sector,” Musk posted on X just days after Trump’s electoral win last Tuesday. “Once in a long time, reforming government is important enough that the A team allocates time to government. This is that time.” How about THEM apples?
Looks like the Muskrat, by being so close to Trump (but he better move in a hurry because we all know how fickle the Mango Messiah can be) is trying to bring his people into the government, thus ensuring favorable results for his companies. Innnnnnnnteresting. One of the names floating in the ether is Steve Davis, President of the Boring Company, that Musk relied on to do the major staff cuts for various companies. Other names floating in the ether are Omead Afshar, who also did a bunch of staff cuts at a couple companies, and Jason Birchal, Elon’s right-hand man, who runs the family office as well as a couple of the companies. Those look to be some pretty hard hitters and would work well with DOG-e’s goals. (Not apologizing for DOG-e because Elon and Vivek are a couple of dogs who have no business being near government.) (Department of Government Efficiency, my ass. Just an excuse to cut programs Americans NEED and they don’t because they’re gazillionaires. So, they don’t care, and WE are fuxored 6 weeks from Sunday, and more.) Space-X looks to benefit the most. This is not a surprise because as much as I detest E-yawn, SpaceX has done some pretty amazing things.
“The Musk company with the most to gain from relaxed regulations and favorable government contracts is his space exploration company SpaceX. According to the New York Times, Musk asked Trump to consider SpaceX employees for positions with the Department of Defense, including Senior Vice President for Global Business and Affairs Tim Hughes, former Air Force general and SpaceX advisor Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, and Senior Director of Government Affairs Mathew Dunn.”
As I mentioned at the beginning, interesting article. I wonder how much of it will actually happen for Co-President Musk. Do you? (Told you I couldn’t shut up!)
