Apparently Elon has figured out that the person tRump will listen to is the last one to speak in his ear. Therefore, Elon has glued himself to the Mango Messiah for a Really Good Reason, knowing that. He started with being a HUGE campaign donor (could you imagine how many people could have been helped with those millions?) then slowly and quietly moved himself into the Orangutan’s inner circle a little bit at a time.
Now we have Elon being very, very much inside Donny’s closest circle and he probably does not know how Elon got there. But he is. He’s gone to Notre Dame with the Orangutan. He’s talked to Zelenskyy (I admire that man SO MUCH) with tRump. There have been bits and pieces coming out about how he’s done more of the same, but it’s much quieter now that he’s there All The Time. We don’t actually *know*, as opposed to guessing, how much he has participated in.
He doesn’t have to sneak around any more. He just has to be there. With tRump thinking the Muskrat is one of his most ardent admirers, he has NO idea how much power he has given to Elon. Muskrat is ideological in a way tRump never was. And that’s dangerous. Plus Muskrat has a LOT of money and money can change everything, or so it seems. I’d be willing to bet that Elon admires Putin, too and THAT is also disturbing, because money talks. Money. Talks. Elon has it.

Then what’s left is JD Vance and we all know his ego is even more fragile than tRumps. And he’s been left out of everything Donny has been doing. That has to hurt. It’s beyond stinging at this point. I’ll get the popcorn before barricading myself and the household inside the apartment, because I don’t know what that uprising might turn into. I would just hope that law enforcement wouldn’t be overpowered. But I digress. My question is: how long will Elon be able to lead around the Tangerine Palpatine? Only time will tell.

And this is exactly why those multi-millionaires and billionaires need to see 50+% tax rates being applied to their vast fortunes. They have enough money to finance/waste on how many political campaigns (yes, I know, they’re “investing” in politicians who’ll do their bidding–doesn’t matter) but ask them to pay that much in taxes and they just freak out.
Hell, I’d be happy if they just had to pay Social Security taxes on their full incomes rather than just the first $120,000 (or whatever the current limit is) but I’d much prefer they were subject to a tax rate that would keep them out of politics the way they’ve been doing for the past 40 years.

I recall a Seinfeld episode where George followed a ‘cool’ guy, Tony, to the extent his friends accused him of having a man crush. Trump has a man crush on Elon. As we all know, love affairs crash and burn all the time. We also know there’s no loyalty amongst thieves. It will blow sooner or later. Count on it. Junkies are loyal only to their ‘fix’.
