We are finding out the extent to which two non-elected quasi-officials in Trump world are actually calling the shots. Neither Elon Musk nor Vivek Ramaswamy have been elected to leadership positions, but Moses Mikey is crowing on cable TV today about how he has a “text chain” going with the both of them. Clearly he’s not telling them how to run their business affairs, so they must be telling him how to run his. Right? Apparently so. $277 million bought Musk a co-presidency. Here he is with his latest edict.

And Elon means business, Mikey. Don’t think for one minute he won’t primary your Xian butt if the urge to do so strikes him.
This also seems to declare his intention of taking Congress under his control. He already controls the White House and a sizeable section of Trump's cabinet.

That’s pretty definite, I would say. It’s intriguing that the man who is second in line to the presidency, behind J.D. Vance, is taking his marching orders from an unelected person who basically lives at Mar-a-Lago these days. And Musk may literally live in Palm Beach soon. Rumor has it that he’s been looking at a 19,000 square foot property not far from Mar-a-Lago.
I wonder if Elon will also have an office in the White House? Just how weird is this going to get?
Johnson has been winging it ever since the improbable moment when the gavel ended up in his hands and he began to speak of himself in terms of being Moses. If he’s the puppet of a couple of rich randos, buddies of Trump who have not been elected to anything, we are in for some choppy waters ahead.
Who was it that said there would be “temporary hardship” while saving all kinds of government money? Oh, right, that was Elon Musk.
This would also be a propitious time for Pete Hegseth to come forward and show his *leadership* qualities and defend the military and see that our men and women in uniform get paid. If you see that happening anywhere, let me know. I’ve been looking and so far Hegseth is on mute. He’s too busy worried about his latest PR problem, with tape of himself in a *dunk tank* of champagne. (Is the dunk tank where you go before the drunk tank? Just asking.) That’s a lot more important to Hegseth than anything tangibly affecting the massive government department he is in line to helm.
it’s all for show and little squeaky will b out of a job in Congress.
