By it’s very nature, this is going to draw comparisons to “Only Fans” so it is probably best to just declare such jokes as cliche and beneath this endeavor while also assuring everyone that Lauren Boebert is not involved in anything scandalous. However, she is selling herself as a product on “Cameo” where she promises to give your friend or loved one a pep talk or holiday wish, even answer a question. How very nice of her. And quite profitable.

Given that I had never heard of “Cameo,” I checked it out and it is… unique? It sells messages from people known well enough to, well – sell messages. Ever so helpfully, you can pick through categories such as “Actors,” “Reality TV,” “Athletes,” and more. They even have a bargain bin in which one can get a message for under $50.00 from people I am absolutely positive you’ve never heard of… Except for maybe Darth Vader, though that’s just a guy in a costume who presumably sounds like Vader. I have to presume that he sounds like Vader because I’m not making $50 to write this one and won’t operate at a loss – there’s some advice for you.

Where was I? Oh – yes…

As with anything, it’s likely that you get what you pay for. After all, “Kenny G” headlines the musicians list so, just be aware. And speaking of getting what you pay for, we get back to politician Lauren Boebert who – let’s do give her credit, is maybe one of the few pols who is not making money by selling votes or policies. It could be worse. At least in theory.

But it would be very difficult to look worse. From her introduction, Boebert states:

“Hey, Cameo, it’s your girl from Colorado, Lauren Boebert,” she said. “Whether you or someone you know needs an America First pep talk, if you want to surprise friends or family with a message for a special day, or if you just want to know my thoughts on whatever’s on your mind, Cameo is the place to connect with me.”

See? And you would’ve simply called her House office. Moron! Indeed, that is an experiment that I might be willing to try… Nah, I briefly considered calling and asking if “the Congresswoman would give me a free pep talk about federal land use and just see how that goes. If they ask for a credit card number, well – my email is below if you want to take the shot together.

Until then, we have to rely on a short report by Rawstory noting that Boebert’s Cameo page says that she is willing to “mention inside jokes, share words of wisdom,” or use “signature catchphrases.” As for inside jokes or signature catchphrases, I suspect we shouldn’t go there. Or, at least I shouldn’t. Make of that what you will because it could get out of hand fast.

Now, it’s painfully easy to knock the hell out of this as absolutely pathetic. But it is relatively harmless. If one is willing to sell all shame, this is probably the way to do it. Indeed, if five to six of you… or one, want a pep talk or words of wisdom at $250 bucks, by all means, we can face-chat for a few minutes, hours, whatever. See what I’m saying? If I can get ten of you suckers… friends, to just do this…

I”m not knocking her. But here’s another thing I”m not doing. I am not bringing $174,000 home annually as a United States Representative (Damn, that’s two she has on me) or I likely wouldn’t give it a passing thought. As it stands, well – my contact information is below. We can cut out the middleman. Take that, Cameo! I’m not in anyone’s bargain bin, not yet anyway. Besides, maybe my advice is priceless.

Which doesn’t mean we can’t put a price on it, or Boerbert’s. That will be two-hundred and fifty, please.
