Kakistocracy: “a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens.” That is what we have coming into Washington, D.C. in January of 2025. You read that Linda McMahon, co-founder of WWE with her husband, has been appointed to head the Department of Education. So naturally, people are inquiring into what degree(s) the woman holds. Don’t ask her, because she doesn’t know. Seriously, you can’t make this shit up.
In keeping with the president-elect’s tradition of being the absolute worst and most ignorant and surrounding himself with like-minded criminals, liars, and abusers, the person he chose to lead the Department of Education, Linda McMahon, resigned from a state education board soon after a newspaper asked her about her lie that she had an education degree. […]
The paper that caught her lie at the time she was running for the Senate in 2010 was the Hartford Courant.
It’s all so understandable, though, given that she has been chosen to lead the Department of Education, that she did not know what her degree was in. You see, dear reader, McMahon claimed at the time that she “thought her degree was in education because she did a semester of student teaching, and that she had written to the governor’s office the previous year to correct the error after another newspaper noticed the mistake.”
She did a semester of student teaching and thought that was the same as an education degree.
She didn’t bother to check her transcript, because facts don’t matter. And that is precisely WHY Donald Trump has chosen her as the best person to do the most damage to the Department of Education.
“McMahon resigned from the state education board one day after the Courant told her it intended to write about the error, the paper reported, but McMahon said the timing was unrelated.”
The president-elect’s transition team decried these facts as “politically motivated attacks,” and to be fair, reality is a politically motivated attack on Trump and Republicans in general, so they have raised a fair point: Reality must be done away with if Republicans are to succeed.
His team claims he has a mandate, which is also not factual, but then I repeat myself. When I tell you what his team says, you, because you are wiser than most of the media, already suspect it is likely to be untrue or an exaggeration or gaslighting.
So the Department of Education will be helmed by somebody who lied about her own education. That’s corrupt, dishonest at the very least, and that fits right in. She’s a perfect fit for the Trump cabinet, along with the child sex trafficker as attorney general and the anti-vaxxer in charge of health and the fraudulent Dr. Oz in charge of Medicare and Medicaid.
Mehmet Oz is a fraud. I personally threatened to file a complaint with the District Attorney of Los Angeles County because his company refused to cancel a renewed shipment when I was well within the time frame to cancel same. Here’s what happened: I ordered a sample supply of some face cream. It was garbage, as I expected. So less than one week after I received this product I called up and said, “It’s not for me, please cancel any renewed shipments.”
They went into a big song and dance about how I “needed to go read what’s on the website” and they “couldn’t” cancel the shipments. I said, “Look, I have the paperwork here, I have 30 days to cancel and it’s been only five. I totally am abiding by the terms and conditions set out.”
More haggling back and forth and finally I said that I would be happy to go explain this to the local district attorney, because “this is misrepresentation and fraud.” Two minutes later an email sails into the inbox that my account had been canceled. I went ahead and got another debit card just to make sure they didn’t take any unauthorized expenditures.
My sense of it at the time is that the staffers were told to bully clients into submission but if anybody showed up who knew the reality of the situation and could pose a credible threat of busting them, then fold for that person. That person could be trouble.
They also had sent through “trial” debits, two of them of $1.00 each and then never refunded the money. I guess they figured that nobody is going to dispute a sum that small. But think of it, Dr. Oz was literally stealing spare change from old people because he could. That is the mentality that you have heading up Medicare and Medicaid and may God help us all.
Oz’s intention when he ran for the U.S. Senate was to change Medicare into a Medicare Advantage plan and we all know what a rip off that is. Maybe it will be forced upon us in the near future. I don’t know.
We are looking at an oligarchy of the uber-wealthy and we are looking at a kakistocracy. And a political shitshow unlike anything you’ve ever seen. May America survive, is all I can say.

🤯 Holy Crap! I so fondly remember a time when it mattered to tell the truth and those who got caught untruthing had the good sense to be red-faced, at the least!! And then correct the record or be smart enough to come with a better answer than “I thought that hanging around a classroom of students of French for a semester turned my degree in French into a degree in Education.” That is such bullshit and makes her stupider every time she says it!! Will truth ever make a comeback? Reality is such a nice place! These assholes ought to visit it sometime!! 💩🤬
That is why when I buy online, especially recurring charges where they store your credit card info, I use a virtual card number. It is locked to that specific vendor, and you can either limit the number of uses, or delete it if they get hacked or are selling Dr. Oz crap, without affecting other accounts.
I probably have a dozen or so VCards linked to my Visa.
Yet MAGA ridiculed Jill Biden for calling herself doctor. ‘Cause she wasn’t a “real” one. Although PhD’s have legitimately possessed that appellation for about 2K years.
I still don’t know what degree Ms. Mahon has, do you? And trump won’t release his college transcript. Yet he calls Kamala Harris dumb and incompetent.
At least now we thoroughly understand why DEI is a nemesis to some.
