Time to lighten this whole stressful, gut wrenching ordeal up a bit for you. When even my compatriots are tied up in knots, it’s time to change the paradigm.

First of all, forget the polls once and for all. Fer Crissakes, we’re 12 days from election day. Even if the Kelly tapes and the Atlantic article caused a seismic shift, you won’t even see the results until next week. Which you won’t, mainly because we’re so decided that the only ones who may move are that sliver of undecided voters, and there aren’t enough of them left to move the polls appreciably. Their late break will appear on election night when the votes are counted.

Instead, have some fun with these last 12 days. Ignore the polls, but watch the news. And when you do, ignore the voices, mute the tv if you have to. Fall back on your instincts compiled over a lifetime. As the title says, Don’t watch what they say, watch what they do.

You already have all the experience you need. Forget about the political aspect, just look at your own life experience. How many times have you sat at a bar, watching a guy in nice clothes heading for a woman at the bar, and you could literally see the flop sweat on his brow, and know he was in over his head. How many times have you walked past the boss’s office at work, and seen a guy sitting in a chair outside the closed door with his hair on fire, and his eyes pinwheeling, and just know that he’d still be looking for a job after he left the building.

Do it with the candidates and their surrogates. Harris surrogates are almost bubbling over with joy about the positive early voting results, and how Harris has closed the gap with Traitor Tot on the economy. The traitorous MAGA incumbents who swarm to the cameras to grease the skids for His Lowness spend all their time loosening their ties, their eyes shifting back and forth for the emergency exit while they try to toss a complicated enough word salad to obfuscate John Kelly’s statements.

Watch the candidates themselves. In rope line press interactions, Kamala Harris is easy and comfortable, a smile on her face. She answers direct questions concisely, and is now ready to take more questions with confidence and aplomb. In rallies she can’t stop smiling. Her delivery is positive and sure, and she has learned to engage with the audience.

El Pendejo ex Presidente’s handlers won’t even let him answer the question Do you want Catsup for those fries? at the drive through. much less get within 100 yards of a reporter. Traitor Tot had a town hall in AZ today, and a NV rally tonight. And his handlers are panic stricken. They want him to focus on immigration, and they already know that they’re going to get a two hour foul mouthed pity party. Making more negative impressions they have to try to gloss over.

Watch the media. In the final two weeks, both MSNBC as well as CNN are covering at least part, if not all of the comments from Harris and whomever is her star power for the rally. Even FUX News won’t cover a Traitor Tot rally soup-to-nuts. And while FUX News basically ignores Harris and Walz rallies in their news coverage, while CNN and MSNBC tape Trump’s verbal farts, and then roll out the most stupid parts for their viewers to see in their imbecilic glory.

And speaking of the Fux Ministry of Propaganda, last week, live in her interview on FUX, Harris called out Brett Bair real time for switching out a Trump answer to a question to try to trip Harris up. Bair actually had to go on air and apologize, saying the switch was accidental. And today MSNBC caught FUX News slicing and dicing Trump’s response to a town hall question to try to make him appear less insane.

Just now in her rally in Atlanta with former President Obama, Harris did it again. She stated We like hard work. Hard work is good work. Hard work is joyful work. And if we do that joyful hard work for the next 12 days, We will win! We will win! Watch the clip. That wasn’t arrogance, and it wasn’t bluster. It was confidence.

I will close with this. I was lucky enough to live in Chicago as a native when my beloved Bulls won six world championships in eight years. And we never sweated it. It could be Game 6 of the playoffs, and the Bulls were down 6. Coach Phil Jackson would call time out. Assistant Coach Johnny Bach would utter his instructions, Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war. And when the Bulls walked out on the court, the strut, the look in the eyes, you had no doubt that two minutes later the Bulls were going to walk off the court 6 point winners. Kamala Harris has that total confidence. She just knows that she has this one by the nuts. But don’t take my word for it. Pay attention. Not to the soundtrack, but to the body language and expressions. Then you tell me. Who looks like they’re winning?

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. I’ve never understood the polls. I tend to go with my gut feeling. I got my HS diploma when I was 32, took some college courses in computer science. And these days the so-called polls seem skewed.

  2. For the most part, media in this country has devolved from trusted reporting within the bounds of ethics and integrity to what we have today – full blown for profit enterprises who will print and broadcast whatever keeps people riled up and edgy, because in 21st century America that’s how it rolls. The election season is the cash cow for these media owners and their minions but only if they can convince people they need to be nervous and hyper vigilant. If it’s not a horse race, it’s bad for business. The other problem; the ever present shadow of the electoral college which allows a candidate who loses the popular vote by 3 million to still “win” the office of the president. I’m pretty confident that the Harris/Walz ticket will prevail nonetheless. Less confident we will ever return to the way it was – at least not in my lifetime.

  3. Murf…one big reason Bulls fans didn’t panic was one MJ…the undisputed GOAT who didn’t allow a title to slip through his hands. There were naysayers even about him. Johnny Most the color man for the Celtics swore for years MJ was just a scorer and would never win a title. Of course the 63 points he put on the world champions in the Garden still stands as a playoff record. Bird called him ‘god’ disguised as Jordan in the Boston Herald the next day. Kamala does have the look and sound of being a star…Trump is a demented evil old man and he looks and sounds just like that.

  4. The Harris rally in Georgia today drew over 20,000 cheering people! The only time Trump will draw that kind of crowd will be at his funeral.

  5. I have had the political ads on TV muted for several weeks or more. I don’t watch much tv but the ads are on almost constantly. When gov sununu of nh gets on tv and says Kelly Ayott is going to fix the mess that nh is in, you have to know the world is upside down. Who was running the state this past century (or so it seems?). HE screwed it up and expects his endorsee to fix it. The woman who will do exactly what he has been doing? What a joke! Except not funny at all!
