Famously seen running somewhere, fast, in the Capitol on January 6th 2021, Josh Hawley is known for several other things – being an insufferable, self-impressed dolt comes quickly to mind among many. Now the “Show me” Senator is having to defend the fact that he seems unable to show that he’s ever run back home… at least not “home” as in “Missouri.”
Amidst a race with Democrat Lucas Kunce, St. Louis Magazine did a study of Hawley’s public records pertaining to travel and then played “Where’s Hawley” and… well, he’s not home. According to The New Republic:
Records of Hawley’s taxpayer-funded travels reviewed by St. Louis Magazine revealed that the Missouri Republican has traveled between Washington, D.C., and the Show-Me State only 33 times between March 2019 and January 2024—an average of six times per year.
So… what is it? Two hours, max – between Reagan National and St. Louis? Maybe two and a half to Kansas City, the two places Hawley would most likely be found other than home, and well… that’s a bit of a problem. No one is really sure where to pin Hawley’s home right now, other than an absolutely darling $1.7 million home in Northern Virginia – where all the kool Senators live, but none are registered as Missouri’s and none have been tracked down by St. Louis Magazine. From the same TNRÂ piece:
The senator and his family previously purchased a house in Virginia, which is now valued at $1.7 million. He previously listed his sister’s residence in Ozark, Missouri, as his voting address, but now has two properties associated with his name in Christian County, less than a mile apart, according to the Kansas City Star. The one he technically owns was only bought in 2023.
So how does Hawley register as Missouri’s senator? Cool story, there. It would appear from above that no one is really sure – only that Hawley seems to be running all over the place except Missouri. None of this is new, it was part of a big study in 2020 – funny, that – before Hawley was seen running down the halls of the Capitol. Even back then, the Kansas City Star couldn’t ever pin down how it was that this guy was Missour’s senator:
Hawley’s office did not answer questions about whether the senator is paying his sister rent, how many nights he has stayed at the Ozark property or his decision to use the address for his voter registration. Nor did the office offer a timetable for completion of Hawley’s new Christian County home.
That sucks given it was 2020 and near as anyone can tell, we’re nowhere nearer the answer because Hawley is so infrequently “home.” Perhaps that’s not fair. He might well tuck his kids in bed every night in Northern Virginia, he just doesn’t run into constituents there, only other senators.
But he doesn’t he run into constituents anywhere else, so it would seem, given he’s rarely in Missouri. He does run, though. We know that. He will run and be reelected next week. And, even though we never figured out where he was going, Hawley most certainly ran on January 6th – just not home, or maybe he was actually running home, just across the Potomac, not Missouri.

Another casualty of no investigation by Garland into the elected officials and their involvement in trying to overthrow the 2020 election. Way to protect the ruling class Merrick. Meadows ran around screaming voter fraud, then used an address he didn’t live at in NC to vote. No investigation. No charges. Typical good old boy coverage of collective asses.
Hawley will most certainly NOT get elected and what’s up with all the taxpayers dollars going to him jetting off on private airplanes anyway? Most likely between his sister’s place & his brand new mansion.
So josh “hauling ass because he’s scared enough to piss himself” howler is committing some kind of fraud. I’m shocked I tell you.
Any more, if there is an (R) by their name, I just naturally assume they’re crooked as f*ck. It’s stupid not to.
The history of US Senate carpetbaggers, like Hawley, is long and storied. Rick Santorum didn’t really live in PA…he lived in VA. Josh Hawley is in VA. Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall lives in Florida. Dave McCormick, running for senate in PA, lives in Connecticut. Dr. Oz, who ran for senate in PA, didn’t live there and was also really creepy, so he lost to John Fetterman. It is fairly easy to fool people and Hawley has been doing it for years. Use a relatives address, have your parents add you to their property deed, use a trust document to buy property, or just keep a small property in the right state and have a mansion wherever you want. It is a Constitutional requirement for Senators to reside where they represent. I suppose AG Garland could take charge to police these liars, but I’m thinking the investigations might be more meaningful if people in the state started giving more of a damn…like PA voters did with Dr. Oz!
Hawley and family live in Vienna VA within walking distance of our home.
Does he ever display his “run?”
