The meltdown of the muddled mind of the Mango Messiah continues apace. Today Donald Trump is all a tither about Kamala Harris’s father, whom he labels a “Marxist professor.” The comedy here is that Trump wouldn’t know the philosophies of Karl Marx from those of Groucho Marx. I do not jest. Trump was asked about “western liberalism” at one point in his first term. He didn’t know that the reporter was referring to the likes of philosopher John Locke and a school of thought. He replied that San Francisco had a lot of crime these days, because he took “western” to mean western United States and “liberalism” to mean hippies in San Francisco — I guess.

That said, Trump’s got some idea that if you would talk to Kamala’s father that somehow it would be very damaging to the Democratic candidate for president. That part I am not following at all. I think that any student of human nature has noticed by now that sometimes you have terrific parents who produce a screwed up kid and sometimes you have screwed up parents that produce a terrific kid. That is simply the way things work and the psychologists and sociologists and anthropologists have been trying to figure it out forever. And it’s well known that fine people have kooky relatives. Remember Billy Carter? And need we even mention RFK, Jr.?

And fine people have some horrible relatives. Just ask Mary Trump. She’s a decent, law abiding, professional woman and you know who her batshit uncle is. Let us proceed to listen to Donald Trump’s latest blathering. Bear in mind that Melania’s daddy is a card carrying commie.

Why he’s even in Florida is strange. Florida is not a swing state. He needs to concentrate on those. Nevertheless, there he is.

Trump’s worried about what happens to the rabbits now. Remember a play called Of Mice And Men? A mentally impaired man called Lennie lives for the day when he and his buddy George can get a farm of their own, “And I get to tend the rabbits and we can live off the fat of the land.” Lennie was a confused and often pathetic character, but he wasn’t running for president of the United States.

  4. Obese, unhealthy old men need naps and I do not even begin to guess what dementia adds to the equation. This isn’t in and of itself unusual. What IS unusual is that an obese, unhealthy, mentally-unhinged, old man is considered to be in any way fit for the office of the president.

    History WILL judge us harshly.

  7. What does her father have to do with anything? I could swear that Kamala was raised by her divorced, single mother. Am I wrong or is there a news bit about her father that I missed?

      Ursula wrote that sometimes great parents have rotten chi.dren, and vice-versa, but here we have DJT, a rotten parent of rotten kids, at least those whose mother didn’t have the wherewithall to keep them from his toxic influence.
