No matter what one takes away from this column please understand that this race is 50-50 and no amount of “rah-rah” articles will change it. If you look at the latest ABC 538 Polling aggregate here, you will note that six states are tied or plus one on either side. It is stunningly close.
As of right now, Kamala Harris wins 55 out of 100 cycles and Trump – obviously, 45 out of 100. But the Harris campaign is white knuckling it right now, the momentum from early September has definitely stopped and what was once a four point national lead is now back to two. Yes, nervous. But there is a race Trump is losing decidedly and he’s going around pouting, angry, waving his arms, and wailing to the sky. Something.
He just can’t raise anywhere near as much money as Kamala Harris and it is starting to really grate on him, to the point that it sounds like he was outright whiny with a group of billionaires in his penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park. According to The New York Times:
[Trump is] “frustrated” that he’s consistently behind Harris, and “tore through a bitter list of grievances,” saying to Donors that they “needed to do more, appreciate him more and help him more,”
Sure. If there is one thing we know about Donald Trump it is that if you are in his orbit you better be doing all you can to appreciate him more every day and continue a positive curb in doing more to help him. He watches things like that – so a billionaire over to lunch had to expect such a shakedown, they had to see it coming. It wouldn’t make it easier, though.
“The rant, described by seven people with knowledge of the meal who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, underscored a reality three weeks before Election Day: Mr. Trump’s often cantankerous mood in the final stretch. And one of the reasons for his frustration is money. He’s trailing his Democratic rival in the race for cash and has had to hustle to keep raising it.”
The point about hustling to keep raising it has to just eat at the guy that makes a living eating other things. Every minute that he spends raising money is a minute that takes him away from a rally which is a minute less life force for him to lather. I would think that even Donald Trump gets tired of begging for money. Well – I guess we just say, he gets super angry when people aren’t doing enough. What is “enough” by the way?
Do they have to make it hurt? This entire election hurts.
But it also makes Kamala Harris’s spectacular money haul a little bit suspect. Unlike Trump, she has broken the one billion dollar mark with respect to total funding to PACs and the campaign. She doesn’t have to worry about money much at all. She has to worry about poll numbers that are dipping – and they are, and a race that simply won’t turn for either candidate.
But to fight for those points one needs money and Harris at least has it to try to suppress the dips and grab one or two very needed points. Trump can’t even do that. He needs the same point or two and doesn’t really have the money to chase them. No wonder he is pretty frustrated.
Donald Trump believes people should be handing money over to him. He doesn’t have time to ask. This time, he might actually be right.

Whiny? He’s been whining his entire life.
This article is only correct if you believe polling is accurate.
But what sort of people would try and manipulate polling to make them look better, to look like they’re winning when they’re not? To perpetuate a big lie about them being better than they really are?
Republicans.
He thinks he deserves anything he wants, he’s been allowed to his entire life. If you received a Nobel Peace Prize simply for being elected President every one of them would have one since 1901. It would be astonishing that President Cater wouldn’t have one (though trump derided him on his 100th birthday) yet he seems most aggrieved that President Obama did…hmmm,wonder why?
