This makes complete sense if you consider the “personality” of the person involved and his maturity level. Donald Trump was one of those kids that if he couldn’t win, he would flip the board over and end the game. That hasn’t stopped. And it wouldn’t be a big deal for a 78-year-old child (and there are some) to be in this frame of mind, but the “board” he’s ready to flip over is the American government and the “game” is the geopolitical reality. Trump claims he can “achieve peace” in Ukraine and it’s pretty obvious that that means pulling out of NATO, giving Vladimir Putin a good chunk of Ukraine, and curtailing American aid to Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky.
Trump is a complete lunatic. That he’s even on the ballot at all (still, for a third time) is a bizarre anomaly and we can only hope, pray and VOTE, in order to purge him from our cultural system. Meanwhile, Trump famously refused to appear on CBS’ 60 Minutes show, the first time in fifty years that a presidential candidate has refused to appear on the show in the run up to the election. He did that because he was terrified to appear. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, appeared and did well. And Trump went crazy yesterday. CBS News is part of the board that he will not only flip over but set fire to when and if he is able to return to power. Here’s the Child-in-Chief acting out.

What Trump is claiming in his rage tweet is emphatically not what happened. What happened is that Fox News ran a partial answer of Harris’s and then the Trump campaign claimed that CBS “deceptively edited” the interview. Talk about stretching. If Team Trump has to keep stretching like this, the campaign will get a hernia.
After refusing to even do an interview with 60 Minutes, Donald Trump’s campaign is demanding that the CBS show release a full transcript of its interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Trump campaign has taken issue with a truncated package that aired on Face the Nation Sunday ahead of the full interview, which showed Harris answering a question one way. But according to Fox News, when the full interview aired the next day, her answer was entirely different.
When host Bill Whitaker asked Harris about the U.S.’s relationship with international war criminal and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Face the Nation clip showed that Harris responded, “Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”
The 60 Minutes interview showed Harris responding quite differently. “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end,” Harris said simply.
The Trump campaign’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, released a statement Tuesday accusing 60 Minutes of “deceptively” editing Harris’s full interview.

Trump, being Trump, simply cannot stand it that Harris is as articulate as she is and he needs to keep repeating that she’s “stupid” “dumb” “doesn’t know where she is” — basically all of the slurs he made against Joe Biden, which were age based, but which roll off when applied to a 59-year-old woman who is very much with it.
Trump has threatened major media outlets with de-licensing for quite some time now. I don’t doubt that he would attempt to do something crazy like that. Every day, every time Trump opens his mouth, he confirms how utterly unfit he is.
Yet, it’s also true that the media outlets, the ones that he most condemns, have gone out of their way to normalize him. It started in 2015 and it’s still going on. That’s the problem.

Note that tfg is threatening to pull the “broadcast licenses” of CBS, NBC, ABC TV networks for content he doesn’t like. The networks aren’t licensed because the don’t “broadcast”. They send their program content privately to their affiliated “broadcast stations”.
The “broadcast stations” with the licenses are the individual stations that send their signals out over the over-the-air radio waves to be picked up by listeners’ antennas. They are licensed because the over-the-air radio frequencies are limited and are regulated by worldwide international treaties concerning who can use them. To do what he is threatening, tfg would have to pull the broadcast licenses from the individual stations, locality by locality, no doubt involving lawsuits in each case.
The purely cable channel content providers (CNN, etc.) are also not licensed because they do not use the over-the-air radio waves. Since most individual broadcast stations also have a cable presence in their local market regions, where the content is included in the local cable package without actually being broadcast over-the-air, revoking a station’s broadcast license probably would not affect the station’s cable presence.
