It’s looks like ‘Pootie’, aka Vladmir Putin is in Trump’s head these days. (As if Trump didn’t already have more on his plate than he can handle!) Late last week Putin ‘endorsed’ Harris although anyone with half a brain knew he didn’t mean it. However sarcasm is something a devolving mind like Trump’s is unable to grasp. Trump’s tendency these days to be all over the map on any given matter, saying one thing and later (sometimes only minutes later) the opposite. Trumpty literally doesn’t know what to make of Putin these past few days. I think it’s funny.
As for why Pootie decided to mess around with our election AGAIN it’s more than just habit with him. He went to a lot of trouble to put Trump in office in the first place because he knew how easy it would be to manipulate him. Putin’s dream ever since the breakup of the USSR has been both to restore it AND to exact revenge on the U.S. and the west for it’s demise. NATO had to go and Putin needed a President, a leader of the free world and in fact the world’s only true superpower to be his literal agent. Trump surely tried to deliver. More importantly he thought Putin truly appreciated how hard he’d tried.
In what’s left of Trump mind, his not at all ‘very fine brain’ believes he and Pootie are best buds. Hell, he’ll GIVE Putin Ukraine. Given that, Trump just can’t understand why Putin would say what he did. Remember I pointed out Trump just isn’t there mentally anymore and doesn’t know sarcasm when he sees it. So, as this HuffPost UK article indicates Trumpty’s statements have evolved in the days since. Now, as the article indicates Trumpty is expressing anger. The linked article talks about Putin’s sarcasm, pointing out his mentioning that she “laughs so expressively and infectiously”. Yeah, it’s safe to say he was being sarcastic with his ‘endorsement.’
What I wonder is if Putin made a mistake assuming that Trump wouldn’t get the sarcasm. Or, with all the problems HE has these days he decided to have some fun at Trump’s expense. Create a little distraction for himself by screwing with Trump’s head. After all, should Trump get back in the WH somehow whatever Putin had on Trump before he’s still got. And Trump will again be his ‘useful idiot’ if not downright puppet. Again. If Putin is in such a position he needs to play head games with Trump (no matter how easy it is to do so) just to have a bit of fun to take his mind off his troubles it says something about how bad his situation is. That’s a different and longer subject I won’t go into here.
What matters is that Trump is beside himself. To the point where now he’s ‘very offended’ by what Putin said. Trumpty’s mind is distracted at a time when it’s the last thing he needs. You know as well as I do, in fact EVERYONE else including Putin that a second Trump administration would be way softer on Russia than a Harris one. That’s why everyone but Trump knows full well Putin was being sarcastic talking “nice” about Harris. No matter. We’re talking about TRUMP not realizing what everyone else immediately knew:

On Friday, he seemed unsure about how to react, telling his fans in New York: “I don’t know exactly what to say about that. I don’t know if I’m insulted or he did me a favour?”
But, by Saturday, he was telling a rally in Wisconsin that he was “very offended” by Putin’s endorsement of Harris.
He said: “I knew Putin. I knew him well. And you know, he endorsed, I don’t know if you saw the other day, he endorsed Kamala. He endorsed Kamala. I was very offended by that.
“I wonder why he endorsed Kamala. Now, he’s a chess player.
It’s reasonable to ask whether or why this matters in the grand scheme of things. With reporting out there that Russia is up to its usual tricks only more sophisticated this time Putin’s ‘endorsement’ of Harris is intended to keep the wool over MAGA goober’s eyes. And maybe some independent voters too. Maybe ole Vlad assumed Trump would get that or maybe he didn’t and just wanted to toy with Trump a little. Who knows?
The point is that Trump IS rattled. With a debate coming up. I’d be willing to bet that given the chance Harris will tweak Trump with this and Trump will swallow that bait hook, line and sinker. That last word of the old catchphrase being the most important one. Putin has proven he’s not as clever as he thinks. Whether he meant to or not he’s handed a gifted prosecutor who as a Senator showed us multiple times how well she can put smarter people than Trump on the spot and make them squirm a nice piece of ammo to aim at Trumpty Tuesday night.
Keep an eye out during the debate for this. It could wind up mattering quite a bit.
Trump has already been calling VP Harris “Comrade Kamala” and accusing her of being one of them dastardly Commies, as if they still existed. What better way for him to defuse the incoming scandals about current Russian meddling in the election (again) than to project the pro-Russky stance onto his opponent? Sure, the meddling was and is real but it’s all done to benefit HER! And so now his handler Putin has endorsed Kamala, just to make it all legit: yes, my Americanskis, I want Kamala to win and am working deviously to help that happen. Trump, of course, must pretend to be offended very deply by this betrayal. This stupid charade is what we get from the Repugnican party in 2024. They truly believe we’re all as thick as they are.

I’d tend to disagree about Putin wanting to restore the USSR. From my viewpoint, what he actually wants is to restore the Russian empire of Peter the Great, with himself as Tsar Vladimir IV (or Vladimir III if you don’t accept the one born in exile after the revolution) Including Alaska which Trump would probably give him)
