I do love it when the Lincoln Project torments their viewer in chief. And make no mistake, Trump keeps an eye out for what they say about him, alway has. That’s why he calls them the Loser’s Project. And of course LP didn’t do itself any favors when it went after daddy’s little girl, Ivanka, for her “find something new” video during COVID. Poor Ivanka. She won’t be back to politics, we guess, because she gave an interview a few months ago saying that the nastiness of politics went against her *core values.* I think that Ivanka found out what a fool she made of herself, especially abroad playing Diplomatic Barbie and Intellectual Barbie. And Ivanka’s right. One complete laughing stock in politics is more than enough. I don’t know how I lived through the Trump years but I can’t live through the sequel, that much I know.

Now what makes this funny is that it’s entirely plausible. Of course LaCivita and Wiles would like to elect a president. People who do that end up wealthy and with nice perks and job opportunities opening up, like Chief of Staff at the White House, Communications Director, all kinds of great things. And both of them thought they could bring 2024 home. They told the Atlantic that.
But then the bottom fell out when Joe Biden’s post-RNC gift to Donald, i.e. him stepping down, was delivered. Think of the gift the Enola Gay delivered to Hiroshima and you have the idea. I can tell you, I haven’t heard Wiles or LaCivita crowing about anything lately.
And I haven’t seen #TraitorLaCivita or #TraitorWiles trending on Truth Social lately, either. So apparently that has calmed down. But I’ll tell you what is over there now and it’s a howler. Trump is posting a video on “election meltdown” where the stock market crashes and civil war breaks out in the streets because Trump will win the 2024 election “but not be allowed by the Democrats to take power.” You see where this is going.
He’s going to set up his 2024 loss as yet another coup d’etat, where he’s the “rightful president.” I guess the only salient point to be discussed now is: How much longer can he keep grifting the rubes? Because grift them he will until he’s sucked their corpses dry.
And this mad play can’t keep going on forever. Post-election, when the criminal trials start is going to be something. Maybe Trump will declare his intention to run in 2028. And maybe the GOP will still go along with it. Maybe Trump will run for president and grift until his dying day. Then what? Will the GOP finally move on, or just keep his corpse propped up and declare that Trump is the standard bearer for the party and running things from the Great Beyond?
All I know is that you can’t make this stuff up. So anything that happens next is bound to be batshit.

for what it’s worth I think wiles and lacivita had a plan but a key component of it was getting Trump to follow and stick to it. with any other client that wouldn’t even need to be said but with Trump it was never going to happen. like many others they just couldn’t believe that’s how it would go but they missed the point that there were many others and that’s always how it went. as with everyone else from McConnell on down they can’t figure out how to get around that.
Nah. Trump will never allow that. I mean, after he’s dead, how will HE make money off of that? Trump’s only rule is “It must profit Donald Trump and ONLY Donald Trump.” If someone else indirectly makes money from it, that’s inconsequential but if someone tries to make money off of Donald’s image or likeness, then he’d better be getting a hefty cut or he’ll sue. And, again, if he’s dead, he’s not going to make money off of any scheme.
It really wouldn’t surprise me if Trump’s made sure his will stipulates that NO ONE will make money off of Donald Trump’s image or likeness–not even his own offspring.
Hmm…maybe that’s why they “made up” a Don, Jr.! Between Don, Jr., Eric and Ivanka (the original DEI Trio!!!) I’m sure they’ll come up with some way to charge for seeing their dimwit daddy propped up in a glass lined coffin. Forever.

Wouldn’t even be passable for inclusion in the ‘special bin’ at a reject shop!
Some of the stuff he’s posted has crossed the line from the usual slander and muck-raking to incitement to violence. In many countries that would be more than sufficient to disqualify a candidate, which of course is what should have happened to the orange turd immediately after Jan 6. But the wheels of justice demand due process and unfortunately grind too slowly.
