Umm. Gee. Shock and awe. NBC News is reporting about political huckster and used car salesman RFK Jr., and will wonders never cease, he’s endorsing Trump.
Zzzzzz. My only question is What took so long? When the Koch Brother(s) decided to push their luck again with yet another astroturf grassroots set up like the old Tea Party movement, Chicken Little Democrats started running around with their heads cut off, looking for air raid shelters while moaning about how many Democrats RFK Jr. could steal from an unpopular Biden, I shrugged. I got work to do finding things you want to read, and campfire stories told to scare kids into going to bed ain’t one of them.
For starters. There’s a universe of difference between giving a bunch of small groups the cash and infrastructure to collect signatures to get candidates on state and district ballots, setting up a 50-state infrastructure to collect signatures and get his name on 50 ballots with 50 different sets of rules. I ignored any national poll I saw with RFK Jr.’s name on it, simply because he wouldn’t even be on 1/3-1/2 of those ballots.
Worse yet was the candidate. No Labels picked the candidate with the largest Democratic footprint they could find. Their tough luck. Kennedy couldn’t get any media traction, and when he’d go on the campaign trail, he was reduced to babbling about vaccine hoax’s, brain eating worms, and leaving dead bear cubs in public parks.
Which, believe it or not, actually played. With Trump supporters. At his zenith, Kennedy pretty much roofed at 18%. Which would have thrilled the GOP if the split was 15% Biden voters to 3% Trump voters. But the most favorable split I saw for Trump was being on the top of a 10-8 split. There’s where some of those bereft Nikki Haley voters came home to roost. And once Kamala Harris got in the race, Kennedy’s support cratered to 5%, with less than 1% of that support coming from Democrats.
So, the RFK zombie campaign is finally off of life support. And what a miserable experiment it turned out to be. And talk about stupid breeding stupid. The whole object of the No Labels boondoggle was to steal votes from Biden. But in fact, and completely unintentionally that GOP dark money actually created an abandonment permission structure for GOP voters disgusted with Trump to flee to. And now Kennedy is dropping out of the race, endorsing and urging his supporters to vote for Trump, the one they ran screaming from in the first place.
The mental midgets in political strategy at the Koch Brothers deserve this stick in the eye. With their Tea Party bullsh*t, they stuck us with space oddities like Machine Gun Margie, Gym Bag Jordan, Bratty Matty Gaetz, and of course, The Wasilla Trailer Trash. And now another hare-brained scheme to steal Democratic votes with a Democratic leaning independent third-party candidate just blew up in their faces. One nice thing, though. If for any reason the Hillbilly Imbecile has to drop out, Traitor Tot now has a tailor-made replacement in RFK Jr. Make lemonade out of lemons.
I thank you for the privilege of your time.

J.D. Vance is actually rich thanks to his buddy and former puppet master Peter Theil. He’d be smart to use some of that money to hire a food taster. RFK he could add one percent to Trump’s total, unlike Vance who will COST Trump several times that. I’d better shut up before I write something inappropriate that would force Ursula to haul me to the internet woodshed for a whupping.
Denis I’m right there with you. God I hate these child killers. Convincing the morons their children didn’t need the measles vaccine was enough for me to fantasize catching that mutherfucker, wrapping a bag around his goddamn head and sending him to hell. Then an outbreak happened in New England. That didn’t help my fantasy life. I’ll leave it at that.
My aunt had polio. My dad had measles which cost him the sight in one eye.
Anti-vaxxers are evil. To their own children and others.
I thought a worm ate his brain?
Yep, I just checked his speeches and policies.
That would appear to be correct.

Thanks for all your great writings, Murph. EXCEPT I was shaken awake from a great dreamless sleep with this thought: Trump is desperate and shackled to a now irrelevant and, in any case, dangerously ineffective Mini Me. What if Trump could see a way to be free with one bound, seize the headlines and sprinkle himself with magical dynasty dust? Would Kennedy accept a VP nomination? Would/could Trump offer it? And then…….?
