This is almost getting ridiculous. First you had the open civil war in the GOP over Project 2025. Then you had former Trump opponent Nikki Haley going on FUX News and literally begging Trump to give up the racist attack and bitching about crowd size, or he can’t win. Today Governor Chris Sununu took to the airwaves to whine, Are you kidding me? In a normal election cycle the GOP candidate for Senate would be winning this race by 10 points! And finally, faithful toady Lindsey Graham, who latched onto Trump like a lamprey after John McCain said, Trump the showman may well not win this election. We need to find a way to get Trump the President back out there.
Sorry guys. I hate to tell you this (no I don’t), but the time for an intervention is long past. In fact, the ones who needed an intervention was all of you mental midgets, back in 2021, when Traitor Tot incited an insurrection and got his eviction notice from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. After losing the popular vote in 2016, getting wiped out in the House in 2018, and blown out by 7 million votes in 2020, it should have been time to cancel The Apprentice: White House.
And now you’re stuck. Not only are you stuck with Traitor Tot, who is the ultimate one-trick-pony, you’re also stuck with Beggar Vance, who does to white women suburban voters what Raid! does to roaches. Trump could lock him in a closet until November 6th, but by so doing, he’d lose his only surrogate. After all, for all of their bellicose bullsh*t, I don’t see Lindsey Graham or Chris Sununu hitting the stump for Trump. They don’t want the cooties either.
Trump has only had one political strategy since day one. And that strategy was feeding the base. When, at Trump’s inauguration, sparsely populated as it was, he spoke of This American carnage, anybody with 12 functioning political brain cells should have known that he was not pivoting to the middle to attract new voters. And now Hair twitler is devolving into his base, psycopathic personality, and guess what? You own it.
Forget the presidential race. What are the rest of your ballot mice going to run on? They can’t run on the Trump agenda because that’s toxic racism and sexism, exactly what people are fleeing. You can’t run on Project 2025, because it turns out that most Americans don’t want their democracy dismantled. But you can’t run from the Heritage Foundation, because they supply the GOP House hopefuls with their main talking points.
The one good thing this cycle is that you can run from Traitor Tot, because he’s too busy imploding to criticize disloyalty, but what do you run to? Most of the incumbents are Trump Light, as are most of the Senate candidates. Without His Lowness, what do you actually find to talk about to voters? You’re not politicians, you’re performance artists, and Trump is the one with the script.
But from where I’m sitting, the most noticeable absence is from Trump’s most avid supporters, the House Freedom Caucus. I know this is the congressional summer recess, but candidates on both sides are taking this chance to run back home. And this is the time of year that Freedom Caucus members like Machine Gun Margie, Gym Bag Jordan, Gruppenfuhrer Gosar and Bratty Matty gaetz are out barnstorming around, whipping up the rustics, and collecting shekels for their campaign war chests. If this keeps up much longer, Biden is going to have to start negotiating with Putin to get the released from that Russian gulag in Siberia.
The long and short is, the jig is up. And the funny thing is that while Trump may never have won an Emmy, his 13 year stint on The Apprentice likely figures to be five years longer than his failed The Apprentice: White House. And he ain’t gonna win an Emmy for this one either.

Old story of the boy who cried wolf. The villagers gave him the benefit of doubt until they figured out he was full of shit. Then when the wolf appeared, they stayed home. It didn’t end well for the boy. Given his ongoing meltdowns, as the election slips further from his hands, I’m expecting him to send out a call to arms to stop the election altogether. Remember this was going to be his get out of jail free card, not just another opportunity to scam the citizens for tens of millions of dollars. Desperate people do desperate things. He’s clearly getting more desperate by the hour. Remember how Jim Jones sent his thugs to shoot people trying to leave his ‘christian’ compound, killing congressman Ryan and several others. Trump isn’t above ordering his ‘troops’ into action once again.

Scott, that’s a thought that had not occurred to many of us. Now that the Ds have hired Mark Elias, to deal with R’s claims of election fraud, I’m wondering what kind of team would be necessary to deal with the “election prevention” by the regressives. We know the Rs have “election integrity” (cough, hack, wheeze) on their radar, but I know Roger Stone’s just itchin’ for some of dat homesy “‘lection prevenshun.”
I hope when he had to surrender his passports, that the gov’t got all of them (plus any that may be under “alternative names”). It’s entirely credible that he may run if he loses in Nov.
Does he truly need them? If he has enough jet fuel to make it to russia, and if he gasses up at Sea-Tac he would, he wouldn’t really need a passport. You might be surprised at how few rules apply to those with money. If anyone wants to stop him from seeking asylum in another country, they’d better not let him board his jet and that might not be feasible…or legal.

I will remind you Murf that gerrymandering is alive and well in way too much of the country. While the free-dumb caucus, is being remarkably and uncharacteristically quiet, they still have very good chances of being re-elected. I’d have thought ms. hand-job would have been out but she probably will win re-election in CO. Let’s face it, the free-dumb caucus was elected by people with less than 12 functioning brain cells and those same people are still out there. Even if they died or something, the districts still favor the incumbents. There have been some small changes but not enough to really matter. I don’t think they are giving too much thought to von shitzinpants–their base is pretty much his base.
This worries me beyond all that is reasonable.
