After years of toiling in relative obscurity in the shadow of her much more famous sibling Air Force 1, Air Force 2 has been taking a star turn lately with the ascension of VP Harris to the top of the Presidential ticket. It is AF-2 which we have seen in news clips of Harris and her VP pick, Gov. Tim Walz, arriving at campaign rallies, and her again being stalked by that weirdo JD Vance when both campaigns showed up at the airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the same time. And she made news again this weekend when that lunatic Trump slipped his straight jacket long enough to post on his bankrupting social media site that her arrival in Detroit at a rally last week was met not by 15,000 Democratic humans eager to greet the VP and her running mate, but by an AI generated flash mob, created by DreamWorks I suppose, specifically to hurt the biggest loser’s delicate fee-fees.
Yeah, number two has been getting a lot of virtual ink lately.
Never one to let the opportunity for a new grift pass him by without exploiting it for a couple of quick coppers, DonOLD Trump is now offering on his campaign website the opportunity for one of his lucky dupes… er… contributors… to win a ride, presumably with the Vice weirdo, on AF-2 some time after January of next year, conditioned on the increasingly unlikely proposition that the Lunatic/Weirdo ticket prevails in November:
“On Sunday afternoon, Donald Trump’s campaign unveiled an opportunity for supporters to win a future ride on Air Force Two with Ohio Senator JD Vance who the campaign hopes will be in the White House after this year’s presidential election.
The fundraising campaign encourages supporters to enter to win “this ALL-EXPENSES-PAID trip of a lifetime” by contributing any amount to the Trump-Vance campaign.
In a Sunday email blast, the campaign wrote, “JD Vance didn’t just ask anyone to join…He asked for YOU, a true MAGA Patriot!” referring to the former president’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
The email links to an online donations page that shows a banner of who just donated and how much money was given. Air Force Two is always the plane used by the U.S. vice president; it is currently Vice President Kamala Harris’ plane.
The logistics of the flight are not evident yet as its unclear when and where the plane will be flying to, and is hypothetical, as the election has not occurred yet.“
That’s right, MAGA Patriot, a once in a lifetime opportunity to win a flight of fantasy with the biggest loser’s clownish Numero Dos… and a con-venient link to the donations page so you can see how your bid measures up against the other idiots throwing cash at this almost certain to never happen proposition.

How is it possible that the auctioning off of a day trip on a United States government owned aircraft for a campaign contribution for either side is even legal?

Well, the grifters gotta keep up the grift but, yeah, I think this kind of “raffle” (involving government-owned–or, in other words, taxpayer-owned–property) is definitely illegal. I seem to remember, some 30ish years ago, that the GOP was accusing President Clinton of trading stays in various White House rooms (mainly the Lincoln Bedroom) for campaign donations. They called for investigations (none actually happened; oddly, not even the Congressional GOPers actually held hearings or anything of the like) but I’ll bet all those GOP Congresscritters who’ve been holding investigations left and right on all the perceived wrongs of the Biden Administration won’t be pushing to start any hearings on this blatant campaign violation.
I remember the Lincoln BR debacle too. In this case, who’s paying for the fuel for this proposed joy ride? IF he were to win, you can bet it wouldn’t be him or his campaign but you and me and the rest of us who actually pay our taxes.
I see that the lede picture confirms the trump campaign’s wisdom in choosing ‘Send In The Clowns’ as one of their theme tunes.
The clowns are a nice touch. Very fitting to have them in the picture given the clown show nature of the von shitzi/hillbilly boy campaign.
