Maybe this is finally going to get the publicity it deserves. It is devoutly to be wished that the most undemocratic, un-American, reprehensible and virulently discriminatory document which frames the day to day work of the second Trump administration, should he be elected, get exposed for exactly how bad it is. Olivia Troye, who used to be an assistant to Mike Pence, denounced the 900-page document and specifically called attention to its anti-woman aspect.
There is no way anybody should be believing Trump distancing himself from this document. Those are his key people who drafted it and developed it this entire time. As Troye points out here, “there will be no mistakes” in a second Trump administration. The takeover will be complete, starting on Day One. Comically, it makes you wonder if this is where Trump got his idea about “being a dictator but for just one day” except Project 2025 is intended to be the new reality in Washington.
Bye bye 248 years of democracy, hello fascism if this document gets implemented. It’s also sobering in the extreme that Troye pointed out that moderates were shocked by Project 2025. It’s not a document which is left or right oriented. It’s far more fundamental than that. It’s a document which undercuts not only the Civil Service (that’s just the beginning) but the basic structure of how our government and our key governmental programs work.

This is the most nightmarish document that any candidate for the presidency has ever had drafted by a group of aides. It’s not surprising that it’s Donald Trump’s aides who have cobbled together this monstrosity.
Maybe the dam is finally starting to break on this. Those of us who have been following Project 2025 have been duly horrified. Maybe now, less than four months before the election, is when people will finally find out how bad it is and realize what they’re voting into office should they be so misguided as to push the lever for Trump.
And it’s no wonder that Trump is distancing himself from this. This is a horrific document. Yet it is lock, stock and barrel, his. Make no mistake about that. Here is the only levity you’ll find on the subject, from John Oliver. This is no joke. This is serious as a heart attack.

Get Out The Vote like your life depends upon it, because unfortunately that is exactly how severe things have come. When even Trump is afraid to openly endorse this Frankenstein’s monster that he’s responsible for the creation of, then you know things are bad indeed.
As if being a twice impeached, pedophile, rapist, racist, fraudster, compulsive liar, unfit, obese, drug addict, never winner of the popular vote, senile dementia suffering, 34 times convicted felon wasn’t enough.
He now presents this ‘policy’ to further ‘attract’ votes. (But at the same time, lies, and says it’s nothing to do with him.)
