We did a post on this story yesterday. I figured that the follow up would be pretty strange and indeed it was. The racist dad who jumped to the stage to push a Black school superintendant out of the way, physically, so that the Black man wouldn’t shake his graduating daughter’s hand, was arrested for his stupid stunt. And well he should have been.
The school district, which has had repeated problems with racism and antisemitism, held its graduation Friday. The father was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, Wisconsin News reported.
The father, who has been identified as 49-year-old Matt Eddy, jumped on stage, grabbed the superintendent and began dragging him to the back of the stage.
Video of the ceremony recorded the father as he shouted, “That’s my daughter!”
At one point, he was heard shouting, “I don’t want her touching him!”
Superintendent Rainey Briggs then said, “You better get up off me man. Get away from me bro.”
The video shows the daughter, clad in a blue cap and gown, shocked and putting her hand to her forehead. She moves her tassel to the left side and walks away as three police officers step in to take the man off stage.
Local station News 3 claimed that social media comments say that the father was angry at the way the district handled bullying issues related to his daughter.
Whatever issues the father had, creating a public scene was not the way to handle them. And his poor daughter, carrying this memory of her ruined graduation throughout her life. But this is what goes on in MAGA-fied America, where people now believe that they have carte blanche to run totally wild because they see elected officials and a former president doing just exactly that.
Did I read that right-there were bullying issues surrounding this fool’s little girl? Bullying which way? People bullying her or was she doing the bullying? I’m inclined to think the latter is correct given her father’s behavior but probably shouldn’t assume this is so.

Her being a bully. She was suspended for catfishing / bullying someone else. He was pissed she was suspended. Not clear if this is fact. How could a parent be that selfish and completely out to lunch to commit a spectacle like this on his daughter’s graduation day ?
Arrested? He got off lucky. I personally know a number of black men that would have reacted with a beat down. NOT saying that would have been the correct way, but, unless you’ve grown up in this racist country, you’re not in a position to judge. He got off lucky.
