If you were going to write a satirical skit about a politician with no clue on a topic, here is your template. You will not find better than this. Donald Trump has been in interviews lately and some of his answers are quite noteworthy. What you want to note is the fact that he doesn’t have any stance on policies which are extremely basic. His word salad here mimics his speech Tuesday outside the Manhattan court house where he said he was “gagged” but if he wasn’t gagged, he would say something “very impressive.” That’s what this sounds like.
Who would think that? Fellow buffoons. We have 10’s of millions of them in the USA.

And that’s par for the course these days. Here’s another. Trump has the Four Horsemen Of The Legal Apocalypse that he quotes every day, to wit: Jonathan Turley, Gregg Jarrett, Alan Dershowitz and Andy McCarthy. I guess he’ll make them judges if he gets back in office.
Next week, after the jury's guilty verdict, Doctors will give Trump some dope to cope. Until then.

Here he is fantasizing that the Trump Organization fraud trial got “overturned.” Oh yeah? Does that mean you’re no longer on the hook for the $454 million judgment? In your dreams, Donald, not in reality.
Trump is asked on WABC why he didn't testify in the NY criminal trial and responds with a bunch of incoherent gibberish. He then falsely claims the decision against him in the NY civil fraud case before Judge Engoron was overturned (it was not). pic.twitter.com/capx0JGby4

The man does not know what’s happening in his own life. Yet supposedly he’s got the intellect and wherewithal to govern a nation of 330,000,000 people effectively? When he botched it before? This is insane. But it’s the craven insanity of the Republican party. They are out for number one, which is to get back in power at any cost. And if that means reelecting this mentally unstable criminal defendant, soon to be convicted criminal, they’re just fine with that. You saw them this week in New York when they should have been in D.C. earning their salaries.
Republican sycophants in Congress showed Americans showed their loyalty last week. And it wasn't to you. pic.twitter.com/p1B0rnvydK

This iteration of the Republican party is fine with selling out America. In 2016 Michael Reagan said, “My father wouldn’t stand for this and Nancy would vote for Hillary.” That’s straight from Reagan’s son’s mouth. And we won’t even think about what Dwight Eisenhower might have said about Trump. There is no place in today’s Republican party for the likes of Eisenhower. Or, possibly even Reagan. We have seen with our own eyes that there’s no place in the party for John McCain, Mitt Romney or Liz and Dick Cheney.
That pretty much wipes out the old school Republicans. There is no conservative leadership left in today’s GOP. It’s a MAGA freak show. Trump excited and united the lunatic fringes of the party, the religious wingnuts, the Nazis, the KKKers, racists, bigots and extremists of all stripes and colors. If there’s a moderate or conservative voice left in the GOP, I certainly don’t know who it is.
It’s not Mike Pence. It’s not Nikki Haley or Ron DeSantis. It just doesn’t exist anymore. So watch for the likes of Rick Scott, J.D. Vance, Elise Stefanik to go totally fascist and do anything that they can to get Trump reelected. Because as David Frum said back in 2018: “When conservatives realize they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservativism. They will reject democracy.” We are seeing the truth of that prophecy play out before our very eyes.

Blood sucking bedbugs do tend to congregate.
Von Shitsinpants’ sycophants should be in D.C. doing their jobs? Well, have the ‘pubes done the jobs their actual constituents put them in office to do recently (i.e. within the past, say, 20 years, maybe longer)? Now, if their only constituents were big pharma, big oil, the n.r.a. etc. (oh, and xtian white supremacist nationalists-can’t forget them ) then I think we could say they were doing the jobs their constituents voted into office to do.
It is starting to dawn on some of the republican constituency that they haven’t been paying attention to what their pols were up to-in state legislatures especially but also in d.c. Here’s to hoping it is enough of them (and I’m not counting on this given how stupid cons are) get their wake up moment and vote these corrupt pieces of sh*t out of office.
