Once again serial liar Donald Trump, just minutes away from entering the frozen tundra of New York City’s Criminal Courthouse at 100 Center Street, is claiming that Police are preventing huge crowds of his angry supporters (who exist in Manhattan only in his feverish imagination) from protesting outside the courthouse – when in truth very few police or civilians are present in the park outside.
And it appears that status quo will persist for a while longer than expected…
“The judge in the criminal trial of former President Donald J. Trump said on Monday that the case would take longer than anticipated to wrap up, with closing arguments now not expected until next week.
“It was either have a long break now or have a long break then, and unfortunately the calendar is what it is,” said the judge, Juan M. Merchan, referring to the long weekend for Memorial Day.
The new schedule outlined by Justice Merchan meant that the jurors who would decide Mr. Trump’s innocence or guilt would not have the case in their hands until after the holiday. Next week will be the trial’s seventh.
After more than seven hours of sometimes bruising cross-examination over two days, Michael D. Cohen, former President Trump’s one-time lawyer and fixer, will return to the stand Monday to face final questions from the Trump defense team. Before Justice Merchan’s remarks on Monday, prosecutors were expected to rest their case as soon as Tuesday after Mr. Cohen steps down.”
It probably June before we get a verdict.

I don’t understand why Trump is still complaining about the courtroom being cold. Adult diapers are made of fibrous absorbent materials and waterproof polymers. Those are damned good insulators and ought to keep him plenty warm. Maybe the chill is coming from his cavernous, empty soul!! 🥶
Twumpie is real life experiencing that there’s some truth in the words of Shakespeare “Hell is empty and all the devils are here.” He’s now abandoned and isolated in the hell of his own doing, tormented by the devils that reside in his head and goad him to spew transparent lies.
Trump could only get 20% of the vote in his own hometown. He desperately tried to get a change of venue because he knows New Yorkers who aren’t obscenely rich (and even some of them) despise him for the thuggish nouveaux riche liar he is.
In old English common law, a jury of one’s peers meant people from your area who.actually knew you well because they could apply the law with the knowledge of whether this defendant was capable of the crime of which he was accused. New Yorkers know Donnie Donuts too well, and that is why he wanted to be tried somewhere else where the jury would be whiter, wealthier, and more sympathetic.
His first lie on taking office was on crowd size.
His last lie before sentencing is on crowd size.
