If the diaper rumors are right (and I call your attention to the fact that they’ve never been refuted) maybe Trump has soiled himself on stage. That was Michael Cohen’s theory when he said Trump grunted during his transgender athlete skit so that he could mask the fact he was relieving himself. Now the Black Mr. White does not tell us what exactly we fucking Democrats did to put him in this frame of mind and I would very much like to know. Here’s my two cents: I think he’s aligned with Trump for the same reason that the rest of MAGA is: they’re fundamentally misanthropes and anarchists. They hate humanity, they hate themselves, they’re mad at the world because they didn’t get more (never looking at their own efforts to help explain that) and they sense the same in Trump. He’s also a loser and he wants to destroy and everybody knows that it’s easier to destroy than to build, plus it takes so much less time. Rome might not have been built in a day but it damn sure was sacked, pillaged, and burned in short order. The United States has been a constitutional democracy for 240-some years, but that can change on a dime.
White runs against incumbent Amy Klobuchar, who is sane, rational and has made a contribution during her years in the Senate. Intriguing that the Republicans would find a bomb-throwing Black man, in the mold of Mark Robinson, currently running for Governor of North Carolina.
So this is what the racist GOP loves now? Surly Black men who want to burn it all down? This is what the Republicans stand for? White is just one more in a crop of people who have zero business running for political office, let alone high political office, in the Era of Trump. I don’t know if White is set to debate Klobuchar, but what’s he going to do? Call her a whore during the debate? It would not surprise me.
If there’s one thing we are seeing from MAGA these days, it is an insane level of hostility. The dust-up in the House last week, where Marge Greene insulted Jasmine Crockett’s eyelashes out of the blue, is a case in point. There is hatred in MAGA. MAGA regards the Democrats not as fellow Americans with policy differences but as enemies to be destroyed. This is not normal in a democracy.
The malice and rancor levels need to be dialed way down. But frankly, I don’t see that happening until a post-Trump world. And we don’t know when that’s going to be. If Trump would get back into office I fully anticipate him creating a constitutional crisis and refusing to leave in 2028. And who knows who will be running the government in actuality? Stephen Miller? Steve Bannon? We don’t know, but it won’t be Trump who can only golf and who can’t stay awake in court. A vote for Trump is a vote for the end of democracy.
