John Eastman was obviously in no hurry to turn himself in after being indicted last month for his attempts to help then-President Donald Trump overturn the election results in Arizona. Despite his tardiness he was still the earliest of his fellow indicted co-conspirators to turn himself in on state charges in Maricopa County.

Rudy Giuliani, Christina Bobb, and Mark Meadows are also expected to turn themselves in in the coming weeks. MeidasTouchNetwork notes that Trump is an unindicted co-conspirator in the case.

After being arrested and booked, Eastman appeared at his arraignment along with his attorney. He entered a not guilty plea, then made a statement outside the courthouse.

“These charges should’ve never been brought,” eastman said. “i pled not guilty. i had zero communications with the electors in Arizona. zero involvement in any of the election litigation in Arizona or legislative hearings. i’m confident that if the law is faithfully applied i will be fully exonerated at the end of this process.”

Reporters then asked specific questions about the case but Eastman walked away without answering any of them.

Of course it’s worth asking: If Eastman is as innocent as he claims then why has he been disbarred and the stay of his suspension from the California pending appeal been denied? Why has he lost his job as a law professor at two different schools? And the situation looks even more iffy when you consider Eastman has also been indicted in the federal J6 case, not to mention the Georgia RICO case.

Then there’s The New York Times, which reminds us Giuliani and Eastman sometimes “communicated directly with local points of contact in the state.” This of course, included other states — Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Perhaps this is why Eastman is considered to be the legal architect of Trump’s “fake elector” scheme.

We’ll see how “confident” Eastman is after everything is said and done.

  1. Of course he ‘disputes’ the charges.

    He lies.

    That’s what they do.

Unfortunately for him and his co-conspirators, the courts judge people on what they’ve DONE, not what they say. A guilty verdict and a sentence seems assured.

  3. Where there’s a traitorous smoke in the ill wind, a traitorous fire is fanned and stoked by ill conceived traitorous kindling, in the background. however, the consequential winds of change have arrived, be it, they zephyr slowly, but they are methodical and carry the force of true legitimate law.
