The Marmalade Monarch kicked off a colorful cavalcade of kakistocratic cheer in the Sunshine State this weekend. “Florida Is Trump Country” the banners proudly proclaimed, as the crowd roared “Trump Trump Trump” and stamped their feet in such a manner as to evoke the very specter of a young German guy who used to stomp around the beer halls in the 1930’s himself. Florida is many things, including the earthly landmark nearest the Bermuda Triangle and a peninsula which some of the metaphysical scholars of our world say is of the same configuration of both Atlantis and the Garden of Eden — once famed locales that just up and went glub glub one night, or so we are told.
And in that same vein, Trump world may be soon to go glub glub. At the very least, the GOP is giving up the ghost. But they don’t seem to think so. They’re like the last battalians of the Civil War, they’re going to give it one last shot — evidently believing that misguidance has a certain magic all its own. And here is the Monarch of Misguidance himself, to lead the charge.
Thank you very much. It’s great to be in one of the truly great places of the world, Florida!

What was it that Rick Wilson said about Florida? “All the insanity of the universe finds its way here.” Something like that. Make no mistake: two things happening here. One, Trumpty Dumpty is trying like hell to survive, two, the GOP is twitching and flailing and it doesn’t know what all. If that wasn’t the case, Chris Christie couldn’t have played the crowd so well.
“Your anger against the truth is reprehensible.”

Here’s the Call Of The Dying Republican, a very rare sound, since so many of them do it silently. Here’s what it sounds like.
Asa Hutchinson loudly booed at the Florida Freedom Summit for telling the crowd that “there is a significant likelihood that Donald Trump will be found guilty by a jury on a felony offense next year.” pic.twitter.com/bdTZgJjLZc

And Trumpty makes his move to make the GOP All MAGA, All The Time.
“It is time for the Republican establishment to stop wasting time and money trying to push weak RINOS and Never-Trumpers that nobody wants on the ballot.” — President Trump in Kissimmee, Florida

Now it starts to cut a little too close to home. Trump doesn’t want to mention Florida as a state that “did a great job with COVID,” because well, you know.
Trump gets visibly scared when the crowd calls him out for leaving Ron DeSantis out of his list of governors who did a great job handling COVID.
"Florida! Florida!" the crowd yells to correct Trump, who could only smile weakly in reply. pic.twitter.com/nIowPJzyRD

And here’s more of the same, a Florida congressman selling out the current governor (oh and Trump competitor, say that one low, we don’t want to make waves now, do we?)
Love that he called Florida Trump Country in front of Ron DeSanctus. Sometimes the truth hurts and you need to be the voice of reason for the delusional like Ron DeSanctus pic.twitter.com/FmN0otIecW

Just remember everybody’s motivation here: Trump is running to run the government that he tried to overthrow when he ran it before because his ass is busy outrunning the feds. Staying out of prison is a powerful motivation. Go ask Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, hell, go ask Steve Bannon. He’s had his conviction for contempt of Congress up on appeal forever. If being behind bars was such a cakewalk, he’d have done it by now, right?
Trumpty finds himself in circumstances beyond his wild imaginings. It literally never occurred to him that he would ever find himself in a situation that he couldn’t buy his way out of. And now he finds himself in several. Concurrently.
Stay tuned.

The demise of NAGA is taking too long. Really needs to pick up the pace.
Florida, it’s not the heat, it’s the stupidity.
