Because if he is, he’s got to have his head in his hands and be screaming, “STOP!” I say that because this latest development in the Trump circus, of the past 24 hours, with Trump’s third arraignment and both his main lawyers, Alina Habba and John Lauro selling him out on television is sheer entertainment to anybody with a legal education or who has covered legal trials and the like. Everybody agrees with Glenn Kirschner’s opinion, right at the end, that Lauro “should just stop.” But he won’t. And the reason is, that Trump hired him to be a “TV lawyer,” which is an area of specialization that exists nowhere else except in the mind of Donald Trump. He wants TV lawyers to get on Fox News and other right-wing outlets, and make him sound good. And Lauro makes Trump sound just fine — to complete idiots, who know nothing of law. All this sounds great to them. The only drawback is, a defense lawyer making an admission about his client’s guilt, anywhere, but particularly on national television, is a dreadful thing.
Poor Trumpty. He’s been melting down on all-caps on Truth Social. His last post just hit and it says “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

I wish I could remember the name of the MSNBC commentator who said that he used to practice with Lauro and that Lauro was a “good” attorney. Lauro may have been, at one time. But this is not good lawyering.

If Donny Two-Scoops doesn’t like the law coming after him he shouldn’t have committed all those crimes. Especially the ones right out there in the open for the whole world to see!
And then admitted it at multiple times, in multiple venues, all recorded for posterity, let alone his trials.
In fairness, if ANYONE had bothered to hold the moron accountable for any of the wrongdoings he’d committed in the 50+ years before he announced his 2016 bid for the White House, we wouldn’t have had to deal with him for the past 7 years.
Hell, if someone had bothered to deal with him after he launched his birther nonsense against Obama–whatever became of all that anyway?–we wouldn’t have had to deal with him for the past decade.
Hell, I’ll go one better: If someone had taken a two-by-four to Mark Burnett when he brought up the idea of “The Apprentice” (back around 2003), we wouldn’t have had to even think of Donald Trump for the last two decades.
