Just another day in the political Upside-Down in which we find ourselves living. Donald Trump was indicted today, on four counts, to wit: 1) conspiracy to defraud the U.S., 2) conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, 3) obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and 4) conspiracy against rights. The overall magnitude of a former U.S. president being indicted for anything, let alone for the third time, let alone for attempting a coup on the government is nothing we’ve ever seen anything close to, ever in our history.

I'll confess I popped a bit of bubbly with news of this indictment, but what I toasted was the rule of law. The system is working and that's critical to the continuance of our democracy.

The dancing in the world’s streets that occurred when Biden first bested trump in the election, will seem like mild conga lines, compared to the joy and hilarity that will ensue after a conviction.

Trust me when I say they already have. Oh, the pitches won’t be quite so blunt, but yes they will start “suggesting” things, essential things the MAGA goobers including and especially the poor and barely above poverty ones need day to day. That includes food – “don’t eat out or find ‘other ways’ to cut back on those ‘expenses'”, Gas – ‘Cut back on driving, visits to family, or maybe take off work some and use your sick days.” That type of thing. But even if not directly from Trump that and more WILL be suggested.
When Trump is Convicted, I’ll be staying in my house “celebrating.” Some, RW Nazi’s, will be ready to kill anyone, that gets in their way! Trump’s rabid RW followers, will be “hunting”! Stay home, stay safe!
Predictable isn’t he. He’s playing to his self authored script. He thinks he knows better. Deep down though, he knows he’s fuck*d up big time, so he has to play go odds-on from here on now. he knows the outcome though, but he won’t acknowledge any self reckoning, because of his fuck*d fragile and increasingly damaged and wounded ego. In the main though, decent Americans will win one on this blight that currently bedevils them. Punch on through, good fellows, you’ll prevail. It does not name Trump’s co-conspirators, but identifies four as attorneys, one as a Justice Department official and the sixth as a political consultant. The person named as co-conspirator #1 appears to be Rudy Giuliani, based on previous testimony and other records. “

It’s a good day for the country because one of its ‘bedrock’ institutions is doing its job. I have no doubt trump will try to squeeze as much money out this as he can, but if he starts fomenting violence again, he will go into custody, no ifs, buts or maybes.
